So, how does it work? Seriously, i still can’t figure a pattern. Unloading all the Tank wrath into mr warden, doing at least 50% of the damage and the Teammates kill him? And then, just walking by, tickling the dude with the br and i get awarded a boss take down? Is it related to proximity, some kind of the “top 10” dds?
Unfortunately, the one who gives the last shot, wins
that really should change…
I haven’t a clue either. I annoys me when I unload everything I got into a boss and when it dies I do not even get credited with an assist, even when Palmer announces that the kill credit has gone to our team. So maybe I didn’t get the killing shot but shouldn’t I be rewarded at least an assist?
I wish they would publish some guidelines. It’s not last shot, as I have taken last shot, or been killed before the last shot is fired and gotten credit. It appears to be very random.
An assist would be nice if you did a good portion of damage and your team gets the kill.

Exactly the way it feels for me, pure randomnes. I also really don’t think, only the last shot gets the aknowlegdment. I got it quite often when i definitely didn’t do the last hit, even when i died.

It’s like the man says, last shot unfortunately. And I agree it should change. Personally I think the points should be divided to the two teams depending on how much damage was done.
The OP is talking about when you don’t get credit for the boss take down assist even when your team gets the kill and you definitely contributed. Like yesterday I was in a Mantis dumping bullets and missiles into Warden Eternal, I got there when he was above 50%, did tons of damage, my team got the kill, and I didn’t get any credit.

Thats also a problem that bugs me too. Not just pooring the ammo into it and not getting an assist credit, but dieng and not getting an assist can be a pain. I did like 70 percent of the damage to a Warden once with a tank and was hit by a laser, five seconds later my team killed it and no assist. Kind of a bummer

It definitely needs to be looked at.
meanwhile assassinating the Warden to secure the kill, I end up doing the ENTIRE ANIMATION PROCESS, and some scumbag team mate comes along with his BR shoots him three or four times, gets the takedown, and just teabags in front of me.
Seriously what the -Yoink-? All I want is to get these -Yoink!- Warden kills for the commendation. 343 please, PLEASE do something about this, were not fighting 12 people for the legendary boss, but 23 people…
