Boss Health Regen, Y or N?

I’ve been playing mythic Warzone Firefight, and I’m getting pretty sick of boss health regen, specifically the Soldier Commandos.

  • I think that if there are going to be sponge bosses, their health should not go back up.
  • Shields are great, if we don’t shoot it in time, the shield can go back up. But the overall health should not go back up.
  • What do you guys think? Is there any algorithms or anything behind it?
    In this clip, I can’t even get shots off in time to stop his health from going back up.

True, but I find it frustrating that any risk and work I put in, like using a tank, was all for nothing for a bad reason. If it was just shield recharge, it’d be different.

I think it should only be shields recharge but seeing how you are playing mythic there you can’t really complain because it’s going to be really difficult.

I seriously think this is a glitch. I’ve seen worse cases of this before in clips and in game. Imagine a round with like a Legendary Knight boss at the last sliver of health and then suddenly it jumps up to 100%. It’s ridiculous.

I still feel that this is unacceptable in a video game

I wouldn’t use the word unacceptable. they can make it as hard as they want. It is MYTHIC for a reason.

Warzone Firefight all around is badly designed, this is just another thing that shouldn’t have made it past testing.

  • As you clearly shown, boss health regen - Invincible Phantom gunners (Not to mention the insane damage they put out) - No warning of upcoming objective in intermission - No time before the AI start capturing/damaging a target (No time to get to the base/core you need to defend, problem stems from the aforementioned flaw) - Bosses in home base makes most vehicles useless - Artificial difficulty (AI are not made smarter, but instead just receive a 300% increase in accuracy, DPS, damage resistance, etc. - Even with full camo, enemy AI will still see you, even while completely still - Literally the entire map of Urban is BS for WZFF - No ability to choose where to spawn, just hope you spawn decently close to the objectives - Respawn timer being increased after each round to make it “harder” and “more punishing” - Can’t choose where you want to spawn vehicles, so sometimes you will spawn in right next to a boss and die instantlyWZFF needs to be reworked if it comes to Halo 6. This kind of stuff doesn’t make the game harder, it makes the game unenjoyable

BOSS REGEN IS VERY ANNOYING! I find that only promethean bosses get regen due to some annoying watchers. It should be the fact Watchers can only heal standard troops such as Solders, Knights, and Crawlers.

I didn’t see any Watchers around that boss unit, but based on how the health kept going back to the same spot, I’m thinking it may have been some side-effect of latency. I’ve never heard of bosses regenerating their own health like that as a mechanic, even in Mythic Warzone.

Is that clip the only example you’ve seen? If you’ve seen it in other games, were they also Mythic WZFF? Same day?

No, my friend and I have noticed it from the get-go of firefight in H5. I’m pretty sure it’s not just in Mythic, but possibly. I don’t think it’s a mistake.

Can we all agree that if we have WZFF in H6, we need classic firefight as well?
With NO sponge bosses?

I would like a combination of both with a dash of dominion added in. It would be cool to be able to fortify positions.

Yes! I loved the idea of dominion, it just wasn’t executed very well in H4, but that was the first rendition. WZ seems kind of like the second rendition in way, but yeah I like your thinking.

I remember a video of the Act Man addresing the issues of the gamemode, and one of them was instant boss health regen. I don’t really remember but I think it was near death, then suddenly the health is back up to 100%. And the worst it that it was a Mythic Warden Eternal. RIP.

Hmm. That kind of does sound like a bug, but who knows? If it is intentional, that’s not ok. If it’s a bug, it needs to be fixed.

I think it is a bug. Like, how fun is it to have a powerful, bullet sponge boss that instantly regenerates health back to 100%?

PROOF:
I just recorded a clip that is proof that this is intentional. I’ll post once it’s uploaded to live.
This was in Mythic, so I’ll try in heroic and see if maybe it’s just for Mythic.

I have seen this in lots of my games just its hard enough to do damage but in the clip he regened alot of health

Its unacceptable, a Boss with the ability to heal randomly is just wrong, especially if they are like Bullet sponges like the Jackal Sniper on Halo 2
