Boss glitch or boss lag switch kill?

On warzone turbo battle of noctus, a promethean Knight 200 point boss spawned and me an my teams clearly killed it, but the stupid game awarded the enemy team the boss kill. I was shooting the boss with an oni chain turret. My teammates were hitting the boss from behind with melee attacks, teammates in temple wraiths were hitting it with cannons, teeamamtes in temple banshees with shooting it with cannons. Other team mates were also shifting at it with a load of power weapons and the Emmy team was no where near the boss. We were all shooting the concurrently in all different directions until we took it out with the final blows and the game awarded some random player on the menu team the boss kill. Some please help and fix this situation. I would like the bs loss overturned to a win. The game malfunctioned and probably did not register me and my teammates final shots.
My gamertag is thecrazemurder.

Not an isolated incident. The game awards the kill to whoever gets the final shot. There are ways to get a kill without being seen. It’s not a great system, but it’s not a malfunction. I’m sure you’ll be able to find the player on the other team who landed the last shot by watching the game in Theater.

Ok you clearly did not read my report fully. I had 4 teammates including myself shoot the boss with power weapons and vehicles. I shot the boss with an oni chain turret until it died. Oh by the way I did check the theater and clearly saw me and my team mea land the final blows and I saw the player who got the credit by just shooting at but was missing most of the shots with a mantis. I had one teammate with a mantis shooting at it with missiles and bullets, one with a temple wraith who landed a huge cannon blow, one with a temple banshee who was shooting it with cannons and small plasma cannons, and one player with a h2 br who shot it last. We both shot it last and my oni chain turret is powerful enough to the boss faster. This was clearly a malfunction maybe a server lag where shots did not register. But this was an incident and a game malfunction. 343 you need to fix this issue.

It doesn’t matter how many of your teammates were shooting at the boss. As long as a single bullet from the enemy team is the last thing to deal damage to the boss, they are awarded the kill.

Precisely this: it’s why for situations like this a lot of teams have more players doing crowd control against the enemy than actually killing the boss

Either you can’t read our you are just skimming on certain parts on what I just said. We all shot it last with high power weapons. We did not skip a bullet. I even shot with an o I chain turret consistently until it died. One other teammate also shot last with a halo 2 br right in the midsection. When he shot it it exploded and died. I was still shooting at those last seconds and even after. It is a malfunction so stop saying that the last bullet hits the boss cuz that player didn’t really hit it last consistently as we did when we shot it last.

Dude, I don’t know what else to tell you. They got the last hit. Case Closed. I read all of your posts on the matter and this is still the conclusion.

If you want to bring up the fact that this isn’t how boss kills should work, then fine, do so in the Matchmaking Feedback & Discussion forums, but it’s not a bug. This is just how the game works and has always worked since launch. It has nothing to do with consistency. You could shoot thousands of rounds at a boss, but as long as just one of theirs hits it last they get the kill.

True but unfortunately it was an easier boss kill than the grunt goblin and it’s health was low so I had no choice cuz the score was in the late 800s to 900s there was not enough time to wait for our score to reach 1000 that boss was gonna die. I don’t know who was shooting it at first but soon as I saw it it was at like 55 percent health so I went for it considering the other team had plenty of time.

But we did hit it last. I said I kept shooting at it until it died so that means I had to have hit it last and so did my teammate I literally saw the replay very closely and analyzed the video. My teammate had a h2 br and shot a round at it causing it to get destroyed. This is not a case closed. I am pretty sure it’s a bug.

Actually, just because you were continuously shooting at it when it died doesn’t mean you or your friend landed the final shot. One thing you should do is view the match in theater mode from the perspective of the player who got the boss kill credit. You could even upload that footage to YouTube. It would help to see what the person who got the kill credit was doing at that time. If even one of the enemy team was shooting at the boss at the same time as your team, then it could merely be a matter of them getting lucky.

Yes I did view it in theater mode I saw who got the credit. That player was missing the majority of his shots. The view was very inconclusive though on his end. I am pretty sure it is server lag where shots are delayed or don’t register.

Okay, but even if he misses the majority of his shots, it only takes 1. Please link the footage, otherwise all we have is your word vs. how we know the game works.

dude i “steal” boss kills from the enemy team all the time, its just the game. ill watch them pound the hell outta the boss until its damn near dead then i let loose a hail of SAW rounds & “WHAM!” i get the kill cred, doesn’t matter if 1 or 30 of my rounds hit the boss as long as 1 does at the last second. 1 well placed sniper round or spartan charge does it.

Nothing was really well placed except my oni turret shots and my teammate’s halo 2 br. I know it’s a server lag cuz this happens like so many times.

It may well be, especially this past week the servers have had the worst lag I’ve ever seen.
