After much research and discovery. since the last didact was executed and gave all of his personality and memories to bornstellar which eventually the young manipular became the didact. this must mean that the chiefs new enemy in halo 4 is bornstellar since he was the last didact and even getting the rage of the original. it all adds up so now we know who our ture enemy is. and there have been alot of theories that it has been the master builder but he did not have an army of prometheans and bornstellar never died. so its unveiled bornstellar is our enemy.
Why you have to make another thread?
Master Builder isn’t confirmed dead. He is a builder, he is more than capable of making an Army of AI’s.
I wouldn’t say that it has been “unveiled”… this is more of a THEORY. A good theory, but really until anything comes from 343i, it could be Barney for all we know.
I think it’s more likely the master builder TBH.
Perhaps mendicant bias is the main antagonist…
The Master Builder wouldn’t make his stuff “Promethean”.
Anyhow has anyone considered that the original Didact might still be alive?
it couldnt be the master builder was stripped of his rank and title and was sent to trial . but it was interrupted by mendicant bias assault. but assumed he died on installation 07. so even if the master builder did die he doesn’t have builders or an army at his proposal. which leaves us with a very obvious choice it is the didact. not to mention I only remembered the didact being the only forerunner with an army of prometheans. so really it cant be the master builder since he lost pretty much everything.
I also figured that out.

It cannot be anyone else but the Didact/Bornstellar Makes Eternal Lasting. How should another one come to have its own Army of Prometheans, a Cryptum scanning the Chief and the Didact’s sign at the end of the trailer?

the original didact was executed by the master builder but before he died he gave bornstellar all of his personality and memories. then bornstellar had become the next didact. and considering bornstellar is the only living didact it sends a big message.

Ever considered that he’s kind of like the Heretic from Halo 2. Kind of a loner. The heretic had AI’s himself. This is a forerunner we’re talking about. He can be stripped of his title doesn’t mean he doesn’t have the knowledge to cook up an Army. He made halos like the other builders, I think you’re underestimating his capabilities. He is very intelligent. Like a villain, he probably escaped off with a ship or did other things you would not have known. Key word he’s assumed dead.
> Perhaps mendicant bias is the main antagonist…
it couldnt be medicant bias either. the reason is after interrogation of the primordial for 43 years the primordial eventually caused medicant bias to go rampant. mendicant bias was actually split into 2 one part of him being on the forerunner ship dreadnaught and the other half on installation 00 or the ark. the dreadnaught was actaully destroyed as the master chief flew back to earth in it. but then destroying the other half of him on the ark during its destruction

but during his time on the ring it took heavy damage. it was eventually captured by the new didact and his prometheans and it was launched into a slipspace sneding it to the ark to be distributed across the galaxy as part of the final halo array. and was eventually activated. during that time though the didact and his forces of prometheans fled to the greater ark to take refuge from the blast of the ring. many years later though there was a serious outbreak of the flood on the greater ark causing him and his forces to retreat to a shield world. the master builder was not confirmed dead but is assumed dead due to what had happen so it is obvious that he would be dead through the chain of events. it is the didact he is the enemy
> Why would the Didact attack Chief anyways?
like I said many times before the original didact gave bornstellar all of his personality, characteristics and memories. this also included his rage which eventually all of these things took over bornstellar and without the librarian there bornstellar went unstable and became corrupt. the sign at the end of the trailer though also is recognized as the diacts symbol.

Are you sure there was another flood outbreak on the Greater Ark. Could’ve sworn that was the last outbreak event, before the fled to the Greater Ark I mean.
Edit: The didact’s symbol is turned upside down just like there is meaning to the Swastika being reversed. The original Didact isn’t that cruel.
Reading some of the articles on Halopedian, it’s obvious that the Didact has a vendetta against humanity, possibly because humans were the heirs to the Mantle.
I’m trying to tie into this the Timeless One since there is a potential flood resurgence later on in the story (and games). It was destroyed in Prmordium, but we all know that didn’t stop the flood entirely. Also, what if the Didact is infected by the Flood already?

the greater ark had held many species of the milky way including humans but there was an outbreak due to mendicant bias rampancy. he gave the coordinates to the greater ark to the primordial which had sent the flood to the ark. and causing the didacts forces to flee.
and the reason the didacts symbol had turned upside down is that is the symbol for war.

Is this legit? Where did you get that information? I’d like to read it.
> Reading some of the articles on Halopedian, it’s obvious that the Didact has a vendetta against humanity, possibly because humans were the heirs to the Mantle.
Something connecting the new Halo Trilogy and the End of the Forerunner-Flood War will certainly appear in Halo: Silentium. The humans were indeed the intended inheritors to the Mantle. So maybe the Precursors sterilized the Forerunners at the end of the Forerunner-Flood War so they could not ascend anymore and the humans would finally take the Mantle?

The only thing Didact has to be mad about is that the humans are destined for the mantle. The forerunners granted us reclaimers and now they go back on their word. Why? Because we messed up the lesser Ark, which is justified by it being inhabited by the flood and blew up halo? That’s nothing and there are more halos anyways. The Greater Ark is cleansed from the halo blast, so there shouldn’t be flood on it anymore.

It can also mean he has become evil and possessed too. Upside down symbol is very similar to the anti-christ.

Actually we are merely led to believe the Master Builder had the original executed, I don’t recall it ever explicitly shown to be fact. Just pointing out that it’s possible we were misled and in truth the Master Builder just “repurposed” the original or something along those lines.
