Bornstellar/ IsoDidact

I think IsoDidact should return as an ally to the Chief. He has been said to be the “good” Didact and it would be awesome to have a Forerunner ally as well as having an epic fight between the two Didacts (Ur and Iso)

That all depends on if he is dead or not. Forerunners can live a long time, but that isn’t to say they would want to after the shame they must feel for putting the galaxy in danger. The fact he did not come to humanities aid in the face of the Covenant is rather telling in my opinion.

Ahh Bornsteller where’d you go off to and will you come back?

Well I gotta say that I’d prefer to see Chief take the Ur-Didact out after being battered around in Halo 4 the way we were. In that regard 343 have definitely gotten me to buy the next game for a chance to take another swing at him.

I’d accept him as a co-op character like Arbiter was though.

I do have a question though. I can’t watch videos on my computer right now so I don’t have access to the terminals but was there any huge size change when the Ur-Didact got that mutation that made him immune to the composer?

If memory serves correct both Didacts were the same size before the composer proof mutation so if there were a size change Bornsteller would be smaller than the Ur-Didact at the moment.

Basically what I’m getting at could Bornsteller be the same size as Chief making it possible for him to fit in the hit box?

One problem I could see arising is if he came into the games in this manner people will see him as a replacement for Arby and that wont end well.

Anyways if the hit box thing wont work Bornsteller should get his own game. That’d be an effective way of bringing the Forerunner world that’s hidden behind the novels into the games.

The idea of Iso as a CO-OP player sounds pretty awesome. Infact I got a great idea: Make him the fourth CO-OP player, with Arbiter as the second and perhaps good old split jaw Rtas Vadum as the third. I know that would mean the Elites would have to be made hunched over like in Halo 2 and 3 in order to fit the hitbox but im sure lots of players would be willing to take that risk.

Perhaps he viewed it (Human-Covenant War) as a test for humanity. If humanity failed, they would be destroyed and thus prove they were not worthy of the Mantle, since they could not even protect themselves. If they survive and win the war, they prove themselves worthy and thus Iso would help them defeat Ur.

This is completely off topic, but I like the IsoDidact name because ISO means big in Finnish language.
Always makes me laugh

In my opinion Primordium does set up the Forerunners returning (Chant at least) I’m hoping to see the IsoDidact, he would make a great ally

I want to see the IsoDidact return as well as Spark. Oh the conversations those two would have. :open_mouth:

Warrior servants are too different from Spartans and Elites to let them play together . I’m mean we are talking about a warrior that has hands so large that human/covie weapons won’t fit, he has telekinesis, he can control millions of drones at the same time etc

A Forerunner is on a whole other level then a Spartan, unless 343 decides to hit them with a massive nerf bat. I can’t see a coop mode where you see Spartans killing grunts with plasma pistols, then seeing a Forerunner running around not knowing how to pick up weapons or another scenario where you see a Forerunner lifting entire squads of sangheili with a single hand gesture while Spartans are struggling with a jackal squad.

My point is, they are not compatible in gameplay with eachother. It’s seriously like putting having an idea that a coop mode can exist where you play as a Spartan or a caveman equipped with stones.

The IsoDidact would be so OP as a playable character, the only way I can see us playing as a Forerunner as a co-op character would be if the IsoDidact has a son/daughter (I don’t know how tall manipulars are) and sends them along with Chief

Why? He said in Rebirth that the Forerunners have meddled enough with the galaxy, he wouldn’t want to help us and get himself involved in our affairs again

Probably could’ve saved us a lot of trouble had they better keyed Forerunner technology to human use. ;p

What if he is forced to? What if he has no choice but to? Would he merely let the Ur-Didact attack humanity if he knew? Would he let the Flood comeback in full force if they were to without intervening?

What if Chief found him? How would he react? I think the epilogue of Halo 4 is the Ur-Didact on trial before the IsoDidact and other Forerunners
