Hello fellow gamers of Halo 4. Unless people have already brought this up… How many monthly challenges have we had since Halo 4’s release? Wait that does not matter…
Why are we getting the same monthly challenges every month?
…And why do the other challenges seem the same, boring and blandy…?
I know what you mean I really wish they were a little more creative and difficult, like
‘Destroy a vehicle after jumping out of a banshee before hitting the ground!’
Or
‘Get an overkill with one rocket’
Or
‘Complete a mission on Spartan ops MM without dying’
I’m sure people could think of loads more that would be interesting but instead we are stuck with ‘kill xxx enemies’ ‘win xxx game type matches’ and ‘I am the 99 percent’. Although this weeks 3 perfections challenge is pretty tough most of the time they are pretty lazy, especially monthly!
The difficulty should be reflected by the reward. I know there have been some challenges that I wouldn’t be able to achieve that have had similar payouts to challenges that I consider to be easy. For example, kill 12 Spartans is a million miles away from winning 9 reclgicide matches in difficulty but there may only be 1000xp difference.
Also I remember thinking how am I going to get 15 secondary weapon kills in one match? I later had the brainwave that swat could be the answer. It took one match!
I’m guessing the lone wolf achievement is to complete the campaign on legendary solo right? Just get stuck in to it, learn on the job! It will make you a better player for sure.

Good calls
3 perfections in a week? I’ve not got one in slayer yet. And there’s a commendation for this! With armour attached I believe? That’s something I’ll personally never get. Waste.
I didn’t pull your stats, but anyone who is focused enough to complete the challenges in all of the areas should be pretty close to 130 after 3 months anyway - which kind of negates the XP part of the conversation.
But since I still try and fit the challenges into my gameplay when they make sense, I will agree that they should switch them up. The purpose should be to get people to try different game types, weapons, etc.

Pretty sure it’s just some forearms.
The campaign challenges are pretty boring too. They all seem to be heroic or harder or legendary with “Thunderstorm” somewhere in it. What is the big deal/obsesssion with Thunderstorm for campaign challenges, i’ve done more than a few of them but c’mon please switch it up. At this point I don’t even do the campaign challenges anymore just out of spite for it lol.
They could stand to get a bit more creative with the spartan ops challenges too. How many times in a row are they going to put up “shield break” as well as the grunt and elite challenges? It’s been the exact same the last three weeks, somebody is asleep at the wheel over there.
I guess all of the effort was being put into the latest spartan ops episode(s) I do like the bigger maps they have used for it.
Reach was good with this. Reach had great variety when it came to challenges. Not so much during the weeks leading up to halo 4’s release but overall there were plenty of random campaign with x skulls on, mini laso’s, full laso’s, points challenges. Firefight had headshots, deathless rounds, waves, rounds, assists, and more! Matchmaking had earn 77 revenges in a week, win 30/50/77 games in a week, multiplicative(200 multikills), small arms (200 pistol kills), 300 precision wep kills, I can’t remember the rest of them - there were so many!
In halo 4 we have wins, game completes, playlist specific(regicide, dominion) etc, some of the challenges from reach but nowhere near the variety.
Assassinating 25 players in a week is a good challenge, difficult depending on the games you frequent, but earning perfections?! I had one in reach, and I NEVER finish a game in halo 4 without dying. It’s not that it’s beyond my skill level, I just don’t enjoy hanging back sniping people. I have the most fun in close quarters which gives a good chance of death. I bet 343 didn’t take into account how many people would boost their commendations when they made them.

My stats aren’t fantastic but I don’t really try to complete all challenges. Like you said it’s more fit them into my gameplay when it makes sense. Some have been fun and rewarding trying to achieve, I think a couple of weeks ago a weekly challenge was to get 12 multikill medals in one match. I did it on dominion and I felt quite proud. That was a pretty difficult challenge.
I got stuck at sr70 for a while so had little to no interest in challenges during that period.

I have two perfections since release day, 3 in a week is nuts but still achievable if you’re a beast! My friend has two of the three since Monday… I hate him

I’ve finished a good number of challenges since release. I’ve played the game since Nov 8, I’ve played everyday and I’m currently rank 72. I don’t see how a regular gamer should be at max rank by now.

I hate this challange. i dont go after ones like these but it kils team play. Watched alot of teamtes this week who run from 1v1 fights cause they are scared to die yet if im in the middle of a fight they try to steal the kill.
