Boosts, Ban and Games in-progress (Lost games)

I apologize in advance for this somewhat of a rant. So I’ve just played 10 games in a row today, playing at least 10 games all week, I have not left a single game since Halo 5 launched yet today I leave two games for a very valid reason and I get banned for about 8 mins. I left those two games because I was put into two consecutive games that were right a the losing point (the enemy team pretty much just about to blow up the core and spawn killing the whole team), so I left because I had put on a Rare Warzone RP Boost.

My problem is, why should I be cheated out of a Boost (of anykind) if I get thrown into a lost game? I left because I felt like it was bang out of order to throw me into back-to-back lost games with a Boost activated. I would be less annoyed with all of this if I hadn’t been banned for leaving those two games. I honestly have never left a single game of Halo 5, even when they were lost game. But I was not sitting there, being forced to lose two games in a row and lose out on my RP Boost just because I was thrown into a lost match.

I feel like this ban I have just revived is unjustified. I will admit I left two games in a row, but only because they were both lost games and I had used a Rare RP Boost which I felt I had been cheated out of. I could accept the ban if I had left these games for no good reason, but banning me because you wanted to force me to see out those two losing games and pretty much throw away that boost? that is completely unfair.

I suggest that at least the boosts all be changed so that you have to be in the game from the start in order for it to be “active”, I was in game chat talking to several people who were annoyed by the very same thing that I am. Change the way these boosts work and stop cheating us out of them because your matchmaking throws us into lost games and cheats us out of the boosts we got.

What exactly is the problem here? It’s only 8 minutes. And don’t RP Boosts give you like only a few thousand extra? That’s just a few games.

Its always a risk to use the victory RP boosts (the ones that rely on your victory) joining a losing game is a part of the risk. IMO the ban is fair, you left the games because they were losing. It doesnt matter that you had an RP boost. Its risky to use them and all because things dont go your way does not mean you should be looked over when it comes to the banning system.

My problem is that I feel cheated out of my boost as I did not have a fair chance at winning the game (regardless the rarity), I understand and accept that there is a risk in using victory boosts and that I was banned for leaving two games in a row, but I feel like if I wasn’t throw into two games where the core was just about to be destroyed with my boost active, I would have not left. I’ll stay in a losing game as long as it’s not right at the end where the other team has pretty much won the game.

It seems unfair on those whom use boosts like the Victory ones and get thrown right into a game that is already lost and that’s what my problem is, we don’t get a fair run with the boost it’s pretty much taken away from me without any chance of completing the task (The same would go for the Gambit ones as well). As for the ban, I can tolerate that even though I feel like I was punished for being put into two lost games with a boost on. I’m not complaining that things didn’t go “my way”, I feel like the boost has just been taken away from me due to poor matchmaking and that is what has really annoyed me.

I have the exact same issue. You all are misunderstanding the point essentially it’s unfair to be placed on an already losing team when you have to go out of your way to achieve the req packs which allow for req boosts. Yeah obviously it’s a gambit but at the same time joining a predisposed losing team is not only detrimental to rec point boosts but also the competitive idea of halo 5. 343 is attempting to make the game more and more competitive by balancing out certain factors especially maps. This is why maps are all so linear and equivalent. The forcibly throwing a player into a losing game conflicts with that competitive ideal and is also detrimental to the players overall statistics in general. This includes k/d, adding a unaccountable loss, and a worthless rec boost. Overall getting thrown into matches even on the winning team which rarely happens is extremely annoying.

Don’t quit twice in a row. The system isn’t smart enough to read your emotions on why you chose to leave. the pros outweigh the cons in the banhammer system.

Warzone isn’t competitive.

Happened to me yesterday, threw on a rare mission victory boost and was put in a game with 2 mins left to attack the core, and I was a req level 1. Like seriously, that boost would of given me at least 12k of XP if we would of won. I was so pist.
