As someone who never read the halo novels i was wondering which ones to get, And start with. What do you all think? Which are the best?
Definitely read Halo: The Fall of Reach, Halo: The Flood, and Halo: First Strike. These three books tell of the beginning of the Spartan-II’s, the events of Halo: Combat Evolved from multiple perspectives, and First Strike bridges the gap between Halo: Combat Evolved and Halo 2.
I’d say that you should definitely read Contact Harvest, that one covers how the human covenant war starts, and delves into Johnsons backstory. Ghosts of Onyx, and all the ones the last guy mentioned are all great as well. Onyx tells the story of the spartan 3 program, and I think that one is incredible. I also really loved the Kilo Five Trilogy, but its not everyones cup of tea.

This, but also add Contact Harvest and Ghosts of Onyx
I loved the Fall of Reach. I’d recommend that book first personally.
