I think it would be interesting to have a book about Osiris where they do some kind of mission. Who would you all want it to be written by?
There are no books about Osiris the team yet. there is a lot of media about the individual members though.
Halo: Hunters in the dark - Gives you back story on Vale.
Halo Escalation - A portion of this comic series gives you back story on Tanaka.
Halo New Blood - Details how buck become a spartan and other cool stuff.
Halo Night Fall - This is a movie that gives you some backstory on Locke.
Books are the problem with these characters and we don’t need any more…

Not at all. Lack of proper introduction, writing, pacing and narrative decisions were the problem. Just because these characters were introduced in outside media doesn’t inherently mean they won’t work in-game.

Excellent info. I think it would be better to leave it at that too tbh. A book about all of them together (especially after H5) might be either really corny or just kinda stale and slow.

Actually the fact they were introduced in outside media is what led to them being underdeveloped, boring, unlikable, unremarkable, cardboard cutouts in game. The writers automatically assumed that everyone had read the books (something the majority will NEVER do) and just went with it.

Not at all. Why would their introduction in outside media excuse them to be flat in-game? Poor writing was everyone’s downfall in Halo 5. The outside media played very little relevance to Halo 5’s characters, anyway.
Many characters have been enhanced through outside media; it’s the execution in-game that is also important, and Halo 5 fails in that regard.

I guess you’re right.

So true. Chief was almost corny in a few of his dialogues, Cortana was just… not Cortana. Blue Team did not feel like the Blue Team from the books(in my opinion). I wish they had made Locke shadier than the pure good guy we got in the game. The writing was just bad, and know one really got out unscathed (cept maybe Arby).

Guys Check this place out to get games cheap, they are digital download keys so no delivery problems. They do most formats including smartphone and origin. They also do dlc for cheap and also add-ons like skins for cs:go weapons. I was browsing when I came across AC: unity for £2.19 and Batman Arkham Knight Premium edition for £10. Halo Master Chief Collection for the Xbox one for only £6.10. It’s not a scam I have tried it and the site is verified and legit. Link: link removed by moderator
