my biggest worry is that they’re bagging the wrong person. I get it, she’s in charge of stuff. I can name particular decisions she personally made that i dislike. But the list of problems seem to be born from technical issues caused by microsoft’s contract system instead of employees. Much as i respect the guy coming in behind her, it’s unreasonable to expect people to sail a ship between ports when the guys in charge of structure are trying to rent out the planks in the ship while you’re still using the boat.

Kiki Wolfkill was the brain behind why The Covenant looked so messed up in 4-5. She didn’t get them. “They needed to be more alien, scarier, more teeth”. - Entirely missing the mark that The Covenant were terrifying because they were people we could completely and fully under-friggin’-stand. That they weren’t Alien and simultaneously, were Aliens, was huge for their appeal and vibe.
Kiki didn’t get it.

343’s management of Halo has been extremely rough. This is a much needed, overdue change. Halo needs to go back to square one. Personally, I believe Microsoft and Phil Spencer need to step in and get as many pre-Reach Bungie employees as possible to get together and write a definitive “How to make Halo” guidebook. Halo really needs this so that the methodology that made it great is never forgotten. Such a guide could be worth a billion+ dollars to Microsoft, and would be utterly priceless to fans. Put aside biases, and especially politics, and make it happen.

This right here is why I’m staying cautious; Bonnie was only one factor of many, and 343’s missteps were a team effort.
Hopefully the course gets corrected, but it could also get worse.

Perhaps this was one of the big changes.
Well I wouldnt be surprised if the roadmap gets delayed, maybe the November update will be cancelled now and delayed until March.

i wish bonnie ross and her family only the best. and i don’t think, that she is responsible for the state halo is in. i think microsoft pushed most of the bad buisnesss desicions on her (like they do on other companies as well) and bonnie just tried to make the best out of it
