PUH-LEASE 343 bring back ASSAULT!!!
I miss this classic game type and it’s been there since day one! BRING IT BACK!!! I hope it’s possible, cause I don’t even see Assault in the custom games.

Assault was by far my favorite objective gametype.
Although, I’m curious how well it would do with the current community, because alot (not all) of players focus heavily on K/D and assault was very much a game that meant sacrificing yourself for the good of the team.

The things they cut from this game really make me sometimes think they didn’t want Halo fans to like it…

I played a game of extraction with a friend yesterday in customs. Similar concept, plant a bomb then defend the spot but faster pace and less defending one single area. While it doesnt have the same challenge as escorting an unarmed bomb carrier,it is different and I welcome it.I cant wait til it comes to matchmaking.
I’d love Assault back, was my fave objective game in the older Halos.
I can see maps like Meltdown, Vortex etc being awesome for Assault
The way I see it there are two ways to remake this one use grifball with the ball starting in one base and a drop point in the other. And make it so when it disarms it spawns back at the other base. Or make dominion with one base. Also dominion is sort of a mixture of assualt territories and invasion.
YES!!! Territories and One Bomb were my favorite game types for Big team and Team Slayer, even though they weren’t picked often.
My favorite objective playlist has always been Oddball and I’ve never really liked Assault. But I think it should be in the game since it’s been in the game for awhile.
Well guess what, Extraction is coming soon, its like a mix of territories and assault.
do you know what i miss all the gametypes that halo fans have been used to like action sack, griffball, rocket race, and others like that. when halo first came out the game was designed to have a good campaign and be a party game to play with your friends on split screen. what happened to the good old days when halo was not call of duty but had actually fun party games to enjoy with your friends
Nothing was more satisfying for me than having the rest of my team go off with vehicles and/or battle for Power weapons while I grabbed the bomb and crouch-walked across the other side of the map all the way and armed it. Almost every time, I had an over 90% bomb-arming rate in H2 and H3, which were the best for Assault.
