Anyone Else think this gun needs a fix or is it just me?

Yep you got it. This gun is way to powerful in my opinion and i am thinking this gun should only take your shields anyone else second this?
Just increase the spread, and slow down the velocity of the rounds fired and it would be perfect.
This would make it to where it would only be feasible at very close range.
It needs to be removed from loadouts and just able to be picked up where it spawns on a map.

After being killed bajillions of times by this gun I finally snapped and decided to use it. The gun is ridiculous. Way too powerful, I don’t even understand why they put it in the game. Even Halo 3’s Mauler wasn’t this bad.
The boltshot is fine as is. It takes skill to use and bum rushers usually don’t like fighting that thing.

I was decimated by an entire team of boltshotters. It was not a fun experience.
I don’t have too much of a problem with it, but it does seem to be a bit overpowered.

Either do that or nerf its range to pretty much gun to chest range. As is stands now it just too powerful for a side arm. Imo if they wanted a close ranged pistol it should have acted like a fully automatic pistol to act like a baby assault rifle. Not as good as a primary close range rifle, but will beat a dmr in close range.
Bum rushing is part of halo man…Objective games such as flag sometimes just involve everyone rushing the flag to get it from one place to the other dying or not and sometimes the boltshot just makes it inevitable(such as the flag being near a corner) someone can just camp that and its pretty much safe.
I just feel like an insta gib loadout weapon is to strong and dosent feel like halo to me. Halo has been my favorite series for a long time probably always will be, but this boltshot oh man. Everything else about this game strikes me as pretty straight forward and balanced.
You have to time it to use it effectively when you could just pull out the magnum and finish off the guy at range. I think its balanced, granted I only play Infinity Slayer…but everyone has a powerweapon so it helps me keep them in check
It needs people to develop strategies against it. Instead they Yoink about it on this site.

How can I hide around corners when people see me with pv and bomb me with grenades? If I were to hide around a corner, I would get a shotgun because its more practical for that scenario.
The range for the kill is to big, it should only be a 1hk if you’re basically running into the person. Maybe make the charging sound a little louder, or flash a light or something?
As it stands right now it takes little to no skill to get a kill with it, which is a problem since everyone can spawn with it.

People Yoink about it saying its impossible to counter. I can name 5 ways to counter it
- Run away while shooting
- Hardlight Shield
- Plasma Sticking
- Another Boltshot
- Have Teammates help.
Getting killed by it a couple of times and not trying to figure out how to counter is not helpful. If it was impossible to counter, then go ahead and Yoink about it. And it ain’t a very good opinion or a helpful one for 343 when they don’t think out what they say.
