Hey guys!
Was just wondering if the boltshot is being nerfed with the upcoming weapon update on June 3rd? I was told it was already nerfed prior, but that thing is still a shotgun at spawn…
What’s the deal?

Its probably a mistake. Its a shotgun you can start with. So I think it was a mistake.
Sorry, that’s a negative. They’re just working on primary weapons this go around.
And since it’s in Halo 4, it’s probably gonna be in Halo 5 as well. It’s a cool weapon and should stay in the Forerunners’ armory. Hopefully they won’t bring back loadouts and the Boltshot can be a pick-up. Problem solved.
No this update is only for the primary loadout weapons and the Warthog and Mantis chain guns. The Boltshot was nerfed before but most players like myself still don’t like the idea of having a one shot weapon from the start.

Isn’t the Magnum getting a slight buff too? So it’s not just primary weapons.
Also, if 343 has any sense, they either aren’t going to put it in Halo 4, or they’re going to make it a map pick-up.

Yup, the magnum will get a slight damage buff but it is still a 6SK.
Noyes. No nerf (other than the range nerf it already got) but with all else being buffed… Almost kinda like the DMR and boltshot are getting a fake nerf
