Except that the Spartan Laser rapes vehicles, which is it’s whole reason for existing in the game. Not that any map needs it anymore. We don’t even have Sandtrap or, hell, a multitude of vehicles per map anyways.
The Boltshot is my 2nd most hated gun, next to the DMR, and it needs to be nerfed. Isn’t it just splendid how my most hated primary gets paired with my most hated secondary 99% of the time? I LOVE HALO 4. WOOOO…

Yes you are. There are drastic range differences and role differences for both weapons. You cannot rape a vehicle with a boltshot.

I still don’t agree with the OP, though. I think the range difference b/t the Splaser and Boltshot makes all the difference. You can snipe people cross map with the Splaser if you’re good. You have to be face-to-face with someone to die to the Boltshot, though, in which case you already did something wrong and pretty much deserve to die.

The Spartan Laser is an anti-vehicular weapon meant for BTB, whoever waste shots on Spartan infantry is not a good player. You save the shots to insta-kill vehicles. The Boltshot and Spartan Laser aren’t even semi-related. At. All.

Way to go. Most good players actually waste their Spartan Laser ammo on infantry. You should only save 1 or 2 shots in case you know that the enemy are going to grab a vehicle. When the next Spartan Laser spawns you waste 3 or 4 shots and then, repeat. Kills are kills. You shouldn’t sit there and hold on to a power weapon without using it. If you play smart players, they won’t use a vehicle if the other team has a spartan laser, no matter if it only has 1 or 5 bullets left.
