Boltshot beats all and needs to be toned down. I’ve had various scenarios with all CQC weapons and found that the Boltshot is the cheapest.
I’m using a DMR in all situations.
Automatic weapons: Guy pops around corner and starts spraying. No biggie, I pick him off with a 5 shot, and have little to no shields. If the enemy is in melee range we might trade blows, but I finish it off with a headshot. I find cover and regenerate.
Shotgun or Scattershot: Depending on the distance, I will either die, or he will. Most of the time, it is somewhat CQC but their first shot doesn’t get my shields down all the way because I don’t bum rush everywhere. I managed to get a kill 75% of the time, but sometimes the distance is too small so I die.
Boltshot: Someone pops around the corner, hits me with a boltshot. I either die… or I die. If only my shields go down, they finish it off with a headshot. If my shields are barely there, a couple of quick shots and a headshot finishes me off. Unless I’m a good legitimate distance away, which wouldn’t happen if the camper waited long enough, then I wouldn’t win.
The Boltshot is a 2 in 1 gun. Headshot capability, CQC shotgun capability, and Shield dispersing capability depending on the distance. Lets compare this to other sidearms:
Magnum: Only had headshot capability. It is stronger than the boltshot x2 per bullet, but this does not matter when it comes to headshots.
Plasma pistol: Good at taking down shields and vehicles. Cannot headshot.
How are they going to fix this one.
The last Halo was the Fall of Reach.
Halo 4 is the Dawn of the Noobs.
