Boltshot, a secondary weapon… SECONDARY, I literally do not lost a fight versus someone with a primary automatic. -Suppressor, Assault Rifle, Storm Rifle- and I feel HORRIBLE everytime I do it. I am completely shutting out their style of playing with a secondary charge. The boltshot has just under the range of a unsc shotgun and MORE range than a scattershot… a POWER WEAPON.
I don’t know how they play tested this and didn’t see a problem…
I haven’t had this problem. If they use a boltshot, I just keep my distance and use grenades. It counters it almost every time. It’s not really that much of a problem unless you run around corners expecting not to get shot. Don’t feel bad for using it, feel bad for the idiots running at you over and over again.
I hardly even see people using automatics, most of them are using BRs and DMRs.

I never said you couldn’t express your opinion. I also have the right to tell you that those responses didn’t really make sense and didn’t really have any purpose other than to express your anger. Would you care to elaborate on anything you said?

They made perfect sense and answered to the 3 points the Op made. I addressed each issue by explaining that 343 are at fault since they are the ones who created the game. I’m sorry that you feel you need to attack my way of writing however it does make sense and was posted in English.
I’m leaving it at that. Just because I have a different view of a topic, doesn’t mean you need to call it ill founded. Made perfect sense.

Sure but when I win just about every one of my fights with my secondary versus someone’s primary there is something wrong, every weapon should have it’s effective range, and the effective range of the primary automatics is destroyed by the boltshot

Btw no one is really “running” at me, It is abused in ways that a primary automatic can’t counter… at all. Really all you have to do is jump at the around a corner or something of the sort and get within “shotgun range” and it’s not hard at all to get the instant kill…
Does anyone here have a problem with the shotgun versus someone who is using an automatic and ‘throwing grenades’ at you?.. I know I don’t… and if by some chance you miss the instant kill, they will be one shot.
The automatic primaries have a longer effective range than the boltshots. They can still be really effective, by mowing down spartan after spartan and keeping a bit more distance if they see a boltshot.
You can’t keep running around with a boltshot and winning fights for long, but you can with the AR. With the boltshot, you mostly have to rely on a piece of cover to surprise your incoming opponent with.

You really don’t see a problem with a “shotgun” secondary?..
I got 20 kills with the boltshot last game, and I don’t play at a “lower skill level” for lack of a better phrase. Even though I am positive their MP system doesn’t pair you with the similar skilled
The charge time of the Boltshot is slow enough that an Assault Rifle can kill faster if the AR either fires either before at the same time charging begins.

The boltshot isnt OP , 90% of the population suck and cant backpeddal/put a nade between you or them, or learn to thrust jetpack hardlight away from a glowing boltshot.
Using it the only people you can kill with it are silly, it would be op if
a) It was a shotgun ie no charge just press to shoot.
b) it didnt fire when fully charged.
But it does those things hence balancing it out. The magnum can 6 shot from range… and the PP can disable vehicles and pop a shield from range.
People need to learn to get better at a game not nerf it to their level.
