Why would anyone use this weapon. Even after going on a montage with it, it still is a terrible weapon with the same kill time as a BR but with slow tracking projectiles and a shallow magazine.
Buff the projectile speed by about 30% and then it might actually be useful.

That’s funny, lol. I just got a Killing Frenzy on Overgrowth with a Boltshot. It has to be weaker because of it’s homing ability. You don’t have to be precise with it like you do a Magnum, therefore, if you land your shots with the Magnum, you should win against the Boltshot every time, and that’s completely fair. The Boltshot doesn’t take nearly as much skill as the Magnum, and therefore shouldn’t be as powerful.

Maybe because it’s not meant to take on BRs? It’s meant to take on Pistol users, and not in direct engagements.

better than the over powered pocket shot gun it was in h4…
The hell are you talking about? The Boltshot is amazing! Since I started using it to get the commendation I can’t stop now, every map I play in I get the Boltshot and go on sprees like crazy, almost always with 8 kills before I get killed

Stop asking for weapon nerfs? I’m fairly certain that you asked for a BR nerf a few weeks ago.
I don’t agree…i personally find the boltshot to be an effective weapon.
I already have it mastered.

Thanks to the aiming abilities, you can fire a burst and get cover while the shots get to the enemy. It is an advantage when you know how to use it.
The Boltshot is actually really good, just play Tyrant, the Boltshot really makes a huge difference, plus, it’s less game breaking then the pocket shotgun we had in halo 4

The Bolt shot is fine, under the right conditions and if a player has any skill they can effectively use it to get kills. In fact I would say the bolt shot is just as good as the default magnum.

this is what makes the boltshot a slightly better gun, out does not require as much skill. In fact, the skill is knowing where it spawns and when to use it.
