the boltshot is overpowered in my opinoin a secondary should never be a one shot.
a guy was lunging at me with a sword and i easily one shoted him with th boltshot if i were that guy id be angry.

1/3 of the time: I kill them in 1 shot
1 more third of the time I kill them with a shot and a melee
And the rest, I die.
But this is only counting when I use it. It is very ineffective at mediumtolong range and if it does not fully line up, the opponent get’-Yoink!- with a melee’s strength.
Furthermore, have you ever tried to shoot early? And the pistol function darts.
ive had a overkill with it, its crazy powerful it can easily beat a scattershot and shotgun

The Boltshot is a bit cheap (I certainly feel a little dirty when I get a triple kill with it), but it is quite a challenge to use. While I hesitate to say it requires significant skill, it DOES require very good timing, as the kill window is very small. And if the enemy knows you’re using it, there’s several things they can do (most obvious of which is keep their distance) which’ll render the Boltshot nearly useless.

Here’s an idea:
- Jump around suspicious corners.
- Keep an eye out for random orange lights, the BS glows when you charge it.
And with this logic, beat downs are overpowered also. (Meleeing the back is lethal even w/out assassinating)

Scattershot yes, but if you beat somebody who had a shotgun they obviously are somehow terrible with the shotgun.
Then don’t run around the corner into another player’s face!
If he’s camping or inviso, you’d likely get killed regardless of the weapon, but other than that, THINK BEFORE YOU SPRINT AT AN ENEMY!
I love the Boltshotgun, but I don’t use it that much since I’m always running for action.

Seriously can followers just stop. Any time someone points out a glitch in the game you make up fake statistics to shoot them down.
OP the bolt shot is over powered and needs removed. All you have to do is go watch twitch tv and watch how many times people go on rampages with that thing. I watched Ninja go 30-1 and every kill was with a bolt shot. If you don’t have it on the smaller maps like solace, and haven then you are doing a disservice to yourself. You can hide behind a corner when an enemy attacks and boost up to them and it’s over.

Plus, when charging a Boltshot, the weapon LIGHTS UP.
Even if they are cloaked, you can certainly see a VERY suspicious light.

I’m not saying I’m a victim to this, just saying I see this A LOT.
the only thing i find wrong with the boltshot is its range with a full charge, it should be about scattershot 1 hit kill range or a little lower. But ive been running into some people who were killing me about 7-9 feet, which i think is a bit too much concerning how people are using it at the moment.

The Boltshot range is definitely smaller then that, but I’ve killed a few people that way as well; not sure if I misjudged the distance and they were actually closer, some form of lag, the game just liking me, or what. But it’s probably the most legitimate source of Boltshot hatred.
Although the fact that it is a OSK is a bit much, there’s a lot of evidence of how to counter it effectively. To that end, I don’t think it should be/will be removed.

You have got to be kidding me… Cloaking is pointless in that situation because it just gives away that fact that you are near by.
And the only thing “OP” in this game is the DMR do to the fact that it has no recoil at all.

That makes you bad doesn’t mean the gun isn’t overpowered.
