So after seeing the bolt shot in action in campaign and multi player, is it the best pistol? Between the magnum, plasma pistol disabling shields, bolt shot a mini version of scatter shot with a 4 sec delay before firing one shot kill at close range using it like a mini shotgun with thruster to just shred thru people.
I think it could be the best pistol but for those that got to play halo 4 e3 and pax did it seem like a power weapon?
I hope its a pistol that is…really hard to aim.
If its as easy as the magnum is. Than there will be major problems
The Plasma Pistol has its use. The Magnum is the only worthless one, unless you plan on pairing it with a Storm Rifle.
It would be bad but if ya miss reload is a must before recharging it does take up half of the clip
The magnum is the most powerful pistol in my book,4 or 5 direct hits and the enemy is dead.
I watched a couple videos, and while the “shotgun” function is useful, the regular fire mode seems quite weak.
In the videos I watched it took a full clip to kill someone. So it isn’t OP, but it is useful.
Promethean Weapons equal top weapons to me.
you cant scope in with the boltshot i think so it is pretty weak at mid-long rang. while the magnum can scope in for longer range battles.

Fire mode def looks weak and as for the charge shotgun shot, even though it takes a full clip with it add dexterity to that and thruster pack with great accuracy it would be a really fun gun to wreck people with it i mean sure it wastes a full clip but sometimes a weapon like that can be op cuz a sacrifice like that can make a weak weapon deadly just my opinion. A close range user would make that useful as a back up scattershot

That is incorrect. The Magnum is far from useless. In close quarters, where it’s bloom doesn’t really matter, it kills in 1.33s. That beats out all loadout weapons except for the scoped Light Rifle(which BARELY has an edge of .03s) and the charged Boltshot. Not to mention it has a scope.

I disagree with this. Here’s why.
They are each specialized for example:
Plasma Pistol: No reload (unless overheat or plasma charge.) Is good for taking down shields in both firing modes, not so much against unshielded enemies. Plasma charge can take EMP vehicle and has slight tracking ability.
Boltshot: Has two firing modes (regular single burst and close range charge blast.) Requires reload but has a long clip at 10 rounds. Can be used at medium range during regular firing mode and close range during blast mode. Is moderate at taking down both shields and health.
Magnum: The only precision small arms weapon in the game capable of detonating grenades. Has fast firing rate and is excellent at at taking down unshielded enemies (Headshots), but struggles at taking down shields. The magnum is also the only small arms weapon capable of zooming in. Also has a smaller clip at 8 per round.
So as you can see they each have there own use,
Plasma Pistol= Taking down shields.
Boltshot= Balance.
Magnum= Headshot on unshielded enemies.
