It’s not just same sized plates, it’s that the chest piece among other things doesn’t fit properly. Why would they issue armor that doesn’t fit? Also, in past games they didn’t. Unless we’re going to assume the in game appearance of Spartans are non-canon, because the Female Spartans in game since Halo Reach have had armor that fit their bodies.

I think they’re doing this for an ambiguous look. Sometimes (especially in 2021) having only female and male body types can be offensive to people that identify as neither. It’s a smart move in that genre. But seriously, that population is such a minority that literally you can have male and female bodies without anything really happening.

Spartan armor wasnt mass produced. Otherwise Marines would probably be better equipped and there’d be a whole lot more Spartans. I’m aware of only special forges and Doctor Halseys lab producing mjolnir armor.

Anyways I agree with the post above spartan armor wasn’t mass produced in the past because there wasn’t that many Spartans left alive like I can see a few extras being made but not on a mass produced scale also having armor that you can barely fit into is a disadvantage

And even than games who try to appeal to non binary people gives them a 3rd option that’s non binary e.g temtem(or whatever that pokemon like game is called)
practically now changing how fat your stomach is rather than full body stature. in prior games i could tell the difference between male and female, with how slim or thick the ENTIRE body was. nod it’s just the stomach… ain’t no one paying attention to the stomach
