Why have something simple like male or female when you can just guess 1, 2, or 3.
It’s up to you if your Spartan’s male or female, since body/voice are different. Unfortunate this seems to be missing people’s notice. Somehow.
I too had a female presenting spartan grunt like a male. Not a huge issue, just a surprise. Although, who else thinks a slider would be a nice touch? I think it would add to “you are your own spartan” idea if you could have light character creation features. I do think the prosthetics were a nice touch to that same idea.

…Yeah a Slider would actually be nice.
They should just do away with body types all together. Super soldiers probably only really come in one distinguishable body type anyway (supernaturally jacked). And replace all Spartan grunts with sci-fi beeps and boops of the armor shutting down (or going into lockup, or meltdown or something).
I started writing this as a joke and convinced myself by the end of it.
