i think 343i stated that it would be impossible to add a new helmet to the game.
and i heard from somewhere that if they did release it, it would either come on its own disc or end up being a large download that would take up all the remaining space on your xbox’s HDD.
It’s been confirmed that the “GRD” helmet isn’t in Reach, nor CEA, and, as far as we know, it cannot be unlocked. Any theory is just speculation, and has not resulted in anything concrete whatsoever. It exists, it’s just not available to us… yet.

Maybe they put these eater egg dolls in just to tease us. Basically 343 saying,“Hey! This is what could have been but as a worthless doll!” Or as a hint to armor in Halo 4?

You heard wrong. That is the most preposterous load of bull- I’ve ever heard. A title update wouldn’t take up 200 gigs of space.

I have Gungnir and there’s no such thing as a grd attachment for it. As far as we know, the GRD helmet may not even be on the disk.
1 example. Look up RainyGAME OVER. 99% sure this is the helmet in question. The helmet’s name is not GRD in the armory, my bad.

No, no it’s not. I am an Eclipse, and it’s not there. It’s also not a Gungnir Variant.

Large download=3gb of space.
Basically you’ll have to redownload all of the maps because right now armor data is stored in the maps and your .GPD file, located in your profile save, is what tells the maps what to present you as. Right now if your profile said hey Forgeworld, set me up with GRD :DDD Forgeworld would have no value for it.
SO I know what you’re thinking, why not just download the helmet and its value and have it as a patch for the maps? Well, unfortunately Bungie decided in order to reduce load times they’d package their maps in a way that makes it where by injecting or patching any data in them you have completely corrupted all data or something. So you HAVE to replace the entire map.
If you’re actually curious about this just google it. I haven’t given this speech in a long time so I’m not too up on the details… sorry.
Basically in order to have GRD EVERYONE has to download a rather large file.
Not everyone has a hard drive.
My argument is a rather simple one. For all those without a Hard drive simply let the patch be an optional download and whenever these hard driveless players come across someone with GRD simply show them as having whatever helmet they were last wearing.
Personally I don’t think anyone EVER complained about Halo 3 being more or less DLC required for the online matchmaking, which pretty much made you have to have a hard drive. People without hard drives who want to get the full experience WILL go out and get hard drives. 343 and Microsoft need to stop being all OH NOES we can’t make ANYTHING DLC required because then all the people without the DLC or without a Hard drive will HATE US AND QUIT TEH HALOZ!
-.- News flash! We didn’t quit when Halo 3 did it either. And here’s why. Discounts. All the people who needed a hard drive could buy a cheap 20gb for like 25 bucks on craigslist or whatever (I got a 60gb for 100… then a week later the 120gb were 100 >.<) and those in need of DLC but without the cash could get it a few months later for half off. Soon DLC became free or pretty close to it. In Halo 2 all DLC would become free over time.
Halo 4 simply needs discounts and more availability of hard drives. I’m tired of never getting to play my maps because 343 doesn’t want to upset anyone by implementing DLC only playlists, or saying oh, yeah sorry we can’t add armor because a portion of the community doesnt have a hard drive. /rant
I agree with you about the DLC discounts. I think for Halo 4 a season pass would be a great idea. Like Gears of War 3, you would buy the season pass for a discounted one-off price but you would be able to download any new DLC as soon as it becomes available for no extra cost

But Bungie’s you could obtain. 343 desided to have theirs obtainable too. The dates have been pushed back 3 times already so I am not positive they will ocme out soon. They could come out later in the year. Or even later for all we know. It depends on 343.

Yeah, there is always a source where is it?
It was just something (Helmet) put in the a Build version they were using and they took a picture so…
It it really exists, then it will more than likely be in Halo 4.
