Alright, after watching all of Blurs cutscenes regarding H2A, I have to say they did a great job again. However, when i start comparing it to their Halo Wars cutscenes, imo, it feels like a tiny step backwards, especially when it comes to character designing. (-> Thel vs. Ripa for example)
Which one do u guys prefer and why?
I like the H2A cutscenes better personally. But then again, I think I heard that Halo: TMCC only began development back in 2012, and maybe Blur had more time back in Halo Wars. But still, the cutscenes are amazing.

True, haven’t thought about that yet. They definitely hadn’t to much time for MCC
Yeah the cutscenes from the start (i have only played 3:00 mins) but the other clips i have seen look amazing especially “I’m going to give the covenant back their Bomb” and “He flew pretty good for a brick” those parts were great.
For me Ive never liked the green ‘earth defence forces’ armour the marines wear in halo 2/3 (Im guessing its because theyre on earth as on reach and CE it was the grey armour) and think the halo wars, reach and CE marine armour looked better. Overall graphical wise though I think blur did much better with H2A though HW cutscenes look amazing to this very day.
Are we just going to ignore Halo 4’s Blur scenes?

Yeah they were a definite downgrade from halo wars, though some of that can be blamed on 343’s art style for halo 4. (i thnk it was a different company that did halo 4’s as well)

Halo 2 was far better

Why did you quote the OP when you could of just replied thus referring to OP anyway?
They both have amazing cut scenes but I feel like if blur had more creative control of the videos rather than creating them identically scene by scene from the original halo 2’s they could have been alot better

There are some differences and addings, yet they’re not very remarkable.
I don’t know… in H2A the characters, especially when in action, seem so rigid. In HW they are way more agile and alive imo, just think of the monster cutscene.
H2A cutscenes are much better. The visuals were stunning.

YEEESSS! lol. I love how it felt like you were playing Halo 2 when it came out but still looked amazing. Also, when he walks off the Scarab. BAD A** lol.
They did an amazing job with the human faces. In the cutscene in the beginning of metropolis the marine’s faces looked so lifelike.

Oh goodness. Chief giving back the bomb was just an incredible cutscene. Had de chills when I watched that.

As far as I’m aware, Blur didn’t do the cutscenes for Halo 4.

If you enjoyed those, just wait till you see the gravemind scene.
I personally liked HW’s better, but both are amazing!

The design had to fit The halo 2 art direction my friend.
The H2 cut scenes do seen to show signs of technical improvement in both direction and realization.
