Bluetooth Audio Bug

  • Downloaded Halo: Reach, went to load it up, I could hear audio just fine for a few seconds then everything went completely quiet.
(Once the cutscenes at the beginning of launching the game finish and you hit enter at the campaign menu all audio stops.)

  • The headset says it’s fine, windows says my audio is fine, therefore I think this is an issue solely from Halo: Reach.
(All other applications are muted, they don’t actually appear muted though, and I can’t hear anything from other applications.)

  • As I go to exit to the desktop I can hear the audio for Reach come back, right up until the application finishes closing.
(As soon as I exit, sound from other applications immediately return as well.)

Edit: I have verified the integrity of my game files through Steam and this has NOT fixed my problem yet.
I have also reinstalled it on a different hard drive (was on an M2 SSD now on my primary HDD) and this has NOT fixed my problem yet.

Please see the pinned thread regarding Halo Support and how to submit tickets for issues you may be experiencing.

Audio issues are know to 343 right now

Thank you for responding, if 343 already knows about the audio issues then I’ll just wait until the (first?) update to come out.
Do you know if they know about bluetooth audio devices having issues with the game or just the standard audio inputs?
I know that other posts were stating that the audio was muffled but I’m afraid that they were using normal headphones, so that issue might not apply in my case.

Yooooo I’m just commenting here to tell you that I have exactly the same problem. I’m using powerbeats and a USB bluetooth adapter. No issues with other games, just Halo. I’ll submit a ticket for it as well.
