Excluding the Master Chief. Anyone know why they don’t show the rest of Blue teams faces? I know in they show them as kids in the fall of reach Cartoon, but why not like team Osiris. Maybe because they are always engaged in battle and they don’t have enough screen time to make it matter?
I think it probably has to do with them being in the halo novels. They’ll never match peoples preconceived expectations of them so why try.
I don’t think they feel comfortable showing their humanity. Especially Chief.
Spartan II’s spend a lot of time in their armor, it becomes a second skin to them. Most of them have “anxiety” without their power armor and feel naked without it. Something like that, someone will probably correct me, it’s mentioned in one of the books I believe.
Also they have all these scars etc from the augmentations and look incredibly pale
Blue team has shown their faces in the comics, the Fall of Reach miniseries, the cover of Last Light and a few others so we do know what they look like. I would chalk it up to never being in a safe enough place to remove their helmets.

I think it’s supposed to be more symbolic than anything else. We’ve seen Blue Team’s faces before, and yet in Halo 5 they never take off their helmets. Throughout the campaign we have one team that always takes off their helmets and another that never does. It’s showing the difference between the Spartan groups, meant to differentiate the teams from one another.
They will show their faces at some point. We did see part of Chiefs face at the end of Halo 4 so probably will in Halo 6.

I totally agree with you, see the faces in the escalation comic, I nearly -Yoink- myself with the simplistic faces, but when I saw their faces at the end of halo foward unto dawn, I felt they had fitting faces, at least fred and kelly.
