So did the prometheans turn blue because of Cortana?

So before they turned blue was before Cortana fire the Guardians, and after the Firefight update is after she fired the Guardians.

So there is a connection between campaign story and promethean color?

As for why they are blue, it’s just a stronger version of the Prometheans in WZ. Nothing special.
