Blue Outline for Teammates, No Outline for Enemies

What about this idea??

Would be good to be able to turn it off for either team if you want to. I personally will leave it on for enemies, trial it off with teammates but realistically leave it on for both.

Not for me. Red and blue with tags above friendlies. I’m not a fan of the outlines at all.

I forgot about tags, I could probably have outlines off if we just have tags. Interesting to see if we even get the option as the tags didn’t work in the flight.

I would prefer that too, but if we have to have outlines, I’d like it to be this way. I’d actually like an option between Red vs Blue and this type of outline system

I like this idea. It feels like the outlines make it a little bit too easy to spot enemies. If a Spartan wants to have a camo armor skin, and hide in a corner they should be able to do that. Outlines around friendlies will prevent friendly fire in most cases. You do have to remember though, friendly fire still happened while we had red and blue teams. There will always be people who team kill, and y’all ain’t going to fix it.

I personally thought the outline system worked really well. I think it’s an amazing upgrade to the old system that still encapsulates the original idea.

It does, and I think it also makes it harder to see the armor color anyway, which was the point of the system. I think it’s self-defeating

Not a fan of outlines, bring back red and blue.

I’m not conviced it would work, if only because humans are always drawn to the shiny color. Although blue means friends, it also means “distinctive” in the context of the game. Therefore, your teammates will be drawing your attention, while your enemies will be blending into the scenery. Kind of the opposite of what you want to happen, see? When teammates are left to their normal armor, you take them for what they are. And when enemies are highlight, your brain much more quickly snaps to them.

Personally I like the outline feature, would be great if you could turn it on/off and change colors etc.

You know how in the MCC you have the option to see all the new cosmetics & skins in CE & H3? Turn it off if it annoys you or you want a more classic experience, leave it on to see all the new designs.
What if Infinite handled this situation similarly? Default would be cosmetic colors with outlines, but if you wanted you could enable RvB mode which, only for those who enable it, would display all players traditionally either red or blue and with classic shield effects.
So those who want to see all the cool coatings can, and those who just want to play some Halo without worrying about accidentally shooting the teammate in a red coating can do that too.

I absolutely agree with this
