Why is there a blue grunt in the Infinite demo? Is this a new rank? Or is the ranking system like Halo 4/5, where armor denotes rank instead of color like Halos 1-3? Its armor looks like the point-tank harness of a Grunt Minor, is this just a Minor with blue armor or is this a new Banished rank?

I’d presume Banished rank but until we know the precise composition of Banished forces on the ring it could even be a sub-group
Minor probably since it is the least well armored it appears that the major uses orange armor.

That blue grunt has the ugly Halo 4-5 look for its armour. I wager it is a Heavy rank Grunt; there is an avatar in the MCC featuring this type of Grunt (and you can see just how ugly the Halo 4 Grunts by the image) and if I remember correctly, the avatar is called Grunt Heavy. Naturally, I prefer the Grunt Heavy from Halo 2 and 3, which had the regular Grunt look, but with a nice green colour. Different looks for different ranks are nice, but there was some charm in the way the older games did it. Personally, I would want the Grunts to have their colours indicate their rank, but they would have two shell variations/appearances like in Halo CE.
