Most people who missed out on getting the blue flaming helmet on bungie day 2011 really wants the armor effect and is jealous of those who have it, this is including me. The blue flaming helmet was an exclusive event for a specific period of time so why not give everyone else the chance to get the armor effect.
My idea is that maybe 343 should bring out an exclusive weekly challenge that requires a lot of time, effort and skill to complete and if you complete the challenge you recieve the armor effect. This will give everyone a chance to get the armor effect and only the true halo fans would be able to complete the challenge.
What are your thoughts? Would you like this idea to be put into the game and made into a challenge? What are your ideas for the challenge to be?
Another idea would be to make it an achievement based unlock for the armor effect or a waypoint milstone award.

Ok then so what isn’t a pointless thread on the reach forum if 343 are concentrating on halo 4. When 343 got the rights to the halo franchise they recieved the rights to running all of the current titles including reach so they need to keep all of the community happy not just people who are looking forward to halo 4 (even though i am hyped for halo 4) 343 still manage reach and they are making an update for august, so are you just saying that they should just forget about the other halo games and their community, because that doesn’t sound like a good games studio to me, so what are you implying about 343, they still need to manage existing games and the community.

Well wouldn’t this be a good way to give people another chance, i mean people who didn’t have access to being able to get the blue flaming helmet last time such as myself should be given another opportunity :s

Why should i stop making threads i don’t usually go on the reach forums so i don’t see other threads, and if you’re not bothered by the thread why post on it O_o just leave for people who do care about the thread and about whether it happens or not. The blue flames were a Bungie exclusive and were Bungie’s farewell present to Halo fans, if you will. They were available for an entire month and if you missed out, you missed out. You might be jealous of others but the bottom line is, you won’t be able to acquire the blue flames at this point.
343 has much better things to do than set up a challenge for “true halo fans” (what’s a “true fan” to you anyways?) with the prize being something that doesn’t belong to them - the blue flames. That was a Bungie exclusive, not 343. With everyone head down on Halo 4, just accept that you are out of luck on the blue flames and move on.

That’s because girls don’t play Halo, duh. And heaven forbid a girl actually know anything about a game.
Im not jealous at all. I have all armour effects and am quite happy with them. I just turned off Inclement Weather today so I wouldn’t be so noticable in swat. I don’t even covet my brothers legendary flames. For the most part from what I’ve heard flaming heads just makes you an easier target.

I have my blue flames, but then again…I was pumped up for bungie day. Every bungie day I always wait and see what they have, the gamer pics for the past few years - still have those as well.
If you want the exclusive items show up on the event days and dl them like we all did.
I’ve been an active member for less than a month and I’m already sick of these threads. You had a month, and all you had to do was go to Bungie.net and click a few links. If you don’t have them, you’re not getting them. Deal with it.

- This was just a suggestion
- I don’t usually post on the reach forums and didn’t use the search bar because i know it would’ve been a common topic during the release of reach (no need for the sarcasm or insult to my intelligence violin spider :@)
- I was out of the country for the whole period when bungie gave blue flames to the community
- I have all other armor abilities but think that blue flames looks the best (my opinion)
- People said that the community wouldn’t have access to recon on halo 3 but now everyone has it :s it sounds like what everyones saying about blue flames on reach

Recon was different. Once it was tied to the achievements, it was always intended to be available. So in order to keep recon from being locked away forever, they decided to release it to everyone considering people had FIVE YEARS to earn it through vidmasters. Blue flames are different and were never intended to be disseminated to everyone. If you got them, you got them. If not, oh well.
