Put it back in? You could run around and spartan charge all that bull -Yoink-…but at least gun fights would be pacing.
No
Weapons wouldn’t be as useful as they would be right now, especially the DMR. So no, reticle bloom should be kept out.
No, it wouldnt make sense in the Halo timeline if they do so. It makes why it would be bloom because it was the first prequel game that is before CE. CE makes sense to have projectile because of the type of ammunition the weapons the UNSC have due to the Magnum being explosive bullets. Halo 2 had went to hitscan due to ammunition change and Halo 3 for some reason went backwards with ammunition that is slow as a Paintball Marker (term for gun) at less then 300fps. Halo 4 and 5 went to hitscan due to ammunition greatly improved.
Didn’t most people hate reticule bloom in Reach?
Yeah, I don’t think adding bloom back in would be a good move.
Eerrr,no.Keep it the way it is.
All it means is that people would run around and Spartan Charge more
No please don’t put reticle bloom back. Game is too fast pace to accomodate reticle bloom and I hope it never returns.
Please no.
Most people hated it anyway.
pls no
What’s bloom?
Is it like an acronym or something?

O.o
This is the first time I hear about this. Is this really the canon reason for hitscan vs projectile? That they changed the ammunition used in UNSC weapons?
How do they explain the Carbine?
Absolutely not. Halo isn’t like other shooters with super fast kill times. It’s more about aiming your weapon (well unless you’re someone who sprays the autos, but the killtimes still aren’t comparable). Bloom completely screwed that because in Reach if you got the drop on someone and tried to pace your shots to stay accurate they could just turn around and spam at you, get lucky and kill you first.
No one liked bloom because it was random. It was theoretically a good idea and practically it was awful. It was more or less universally hated which is why we haven’t seen it since.
The game is good as it is

No it’s when your reticle expands the longer you shoot. It’s technically in all the Halo games, but it doesn’t affect you. However, in Reach, it was awful. Your reticle would grow huge the longer you shot, putting your shots somewhere in that big circle. It slowed down gunfights, made shooting very random, and made long range engagements almost impossible.

Isn’t bloom in multiple weapons in H5 then? I mean the actual reticle for the DMR doesn’t expand, but inside the circle, those 4 “bars” expand to the circle, but that is it.
It should have never been added to a halo game to begin with. I say let it stay gone
Armor Lock and Bloom…two nightmares that need to stay away
