In some thread around when bloom was “confirmed” by the MLG Playlist manager, somebody came in with a quote saying that the bloom on the DMR he was talking about was the same as the “bloom” on the Sniper Rifle in Reach; only a visual timer for when your next shot could be fired.

I believe someone on Neogaf speculated that it was like the Reach “bloom” on the sniper.
Pay attention to the way KC describes the DMR, about how he did not really have to pace it But look how he describes the pistols bloom
The pistol has “Reach like bloom”
If the bloom on the DMR was like H:R he would of defiantly described it as reach’s bloom but he did not.

That’s what worries me about the pistol. Not just the fact that the gun has bloom that every gun is going to have different firing mechanics (and they aren’t even power weapons ;o)
Like the BR, that’s straight forward with recoil but with the other two guns it has bloom. A bit inconsistent me thinks but eh wait to the final ;D

Oh, I would be extatic if that was the case.
however, a small interesting detail you might want to know of is that the sniper bloom actually has an effect on your accuracy if it is fired too quickly, although it is very, very minimal. You are in fact able to shoot againg before it has fully reset, and if you try shooting constantly with it with bottomless clip enabled, it will eventually be fully expanded while you’re able to shoot, which is rather ridiculous.
But yeah, I wish that’s the case. Otherwise, I wish we get an option to turn it off, just in case it turns out it is flawed and broken or if we would simply get tired of it and would want it to be static instead.

The Plasma Repeater also has some oddities with BC enabled as the bloom keeps expanding without stopping.
I didn’t know the Sniper did that. You learn something new every morning lol.
I read the post with the quote, asked a source but never got one. I really hope it’s true, but as I haven’t heard about it ever since, I don’t believe it’s true.
