Please… say its not true.
Where have you been for the past several months?
And look how much of a problem it has caused…none.
They should have massive bloom, then anything but timing your shots and not spamming like a -Yoink!- will get you killed.
It’s on automatics. Only very slightly on the DMR so it’s not super powerful at long range. Just like how it should be.
So odd, I’ve been following the dev. and I could have sworn they said they were taking it out. Also how is that close to H3’s core gameplay if there is bloom? Wouldn’t that be closer to Reach?
BLOOM WHEN U RELOAD ON DMR
I’m using the carbine, so I have no problem with bloom.
They reduced the DMR bloom by so much that even MLG and MLG-esque players basically said they hardly noticed it.
Basically, don’t worry about it.

Bloom is back. However, it is only on the following:
AR, Storm Rifle, Magnum, Supressor, and SAW.

DMR has bloom, although it’s so minimal that people say that you’ll only notice if you attempt to rapid fire far more shots than is actually necessary to kill someone.

It’s why I didn’t count it.
okay. so i havent treaded these waters since before reach was released. explain to me why this is bad.

It felt more like a visual representation of when it could be fired again more than Reach-esque bloom when I played at PAX. It really is very minimal.

Implemented incorrectly, and the game slows down. It can also have a chance where players feel like they are getting mad at the game, instead of themselves, when they die. If too random, especially noticable on precision aiming weapons, the game has a chance that someone who doesn’t pace the gun can win out against a guy who does pace the gun right.
It can be a good feature when implemented correctly. However, when done wrong, it can cause unnecessary frustration for players, especially when they are trying to learn what’s the best way to use a weapon.

thanks. i guess i can see why people wouldnt like the feature. personally im a fan though. it adds just a little touch of realism in it for me.

QFT.
They should have CORRECTLY implemented and fixed bloom instead of removing it.
Big step backwards.
Who-shot-first gameplay friendly.

No, they haven’t. The magnum bloom is practically identical to 100% bloom DMR in Reach.
The DMR bloom has simply been reduced to have little effect.
Correct implementation would be much great and much faster resetting bloom that actually punishes spamming.

What?
When precision weapons in Halo are involved, that is never the case.
It’s not really back, doesn’t make much of a difference.
Frankly it should be back, better implemented.
