I would imagine this has been answered but I couldn’t find anything on with the search function so I thought I would ask. Is it true the DMR will have bloom in halo 4? I’ve heard people saying yes and some saying no so, now im all for bloom on automatic weapons suck as the AR as it gives them a bit more utility but on precision weapons it’s just awful. It would strike me as very strange if 343 implemented bloom with the DMR after they removed it on reach in the TU. Does anyone have any concrete news on this subject?
Yes, the DMR and Pistol will both have bloom. However, it will function quite different from in Reach due to resetting faster, so it will work much better overall it seems.
Ah I see… Well at least the BR is back and unaffected by it I guess, thanks for clearing that up.
No problem! And yeah, the BR won’t have bloom, like you said. I like how different weapons will function differently, allowing players to choose the one that works better for them.

Yeah variety is always a good thing for the sandbox, although im not sold on the DRM having bloom again it just straight up didn’t work. I was hoping they would just give it a fixed rate of fire. Im okay with the magnum having bloom though, helps to distinguish it as a side arm.
Yes there is, and I’m kinda glad. The whole bloom idea was to make the DMR work well in long range and not work as well close range. The problem was that it was the main utility weapon, so people with DMR’s tended to get screwed over by luck in close range multiple times. So now we have both the DMR and BR, so you can use DMR in long range while using the BR more mid or close range.
Bloom is back but it is different from reach. I read in KC killa’s halo 4 review that when he played with the dmr and pistol he wasn’t forced to pace his shots

yeah br is back but with recoil not bloom
I’m mostly excited about the BR. I can’t wait to use that weapon again :3 Oh how I’ve missed it so…

I know it’s been too long since i’ve used it and i am very eager to get my hands on it again

The Title Update didn’t remove Bloom. It just lowered it to 85%, which is a lot more manageable.

didn’t bloom always exist in halo except in the original trilogy it was more predictable and less frustrating

Really? I had thought it gone completely as I haven’t noticed any bloom with the DRM, but then I guess with an 85% reduction you would have to be really spamming the trigger to notice it. Well if it’s like this in halo 4 then consider me remeasured. Thanks for the extra insight.
