Many people already know of the bloom in Halo 4. Also, many people overreact because they think bloom, means the bloom in Halo Reach. But if you read the article better you should have read this:
> The DMR was single shot with bloom. However, the bloom reset much faster than the DMR in Halo Reach. I didn’t have to pace my shots much at all. Both the DMR and BR were 5-shot weapons in this build. At the end of the night, I preferred the DMR. It shot faster than the BR, took the same amount of shots to kill, and I didn’t feel like the bloom made me miss shots all that often.
This bloom only means you cant spam the trigger, and that is good. They probably did this to make a balance between the weapons.
Relax, I still have faith in 343i. They do alot things really really good. Even the faster regeneration doesn’t see so bad to me . Killa KC also wrote that the faster regeneration was not that noticeable, and 1 thing what I already thought: it doesn’t mean MORE hp. (can’t remember the source)
To be honest, i wasn’t too happy about that. Of course, i would have liked to try out the new DMR myself to form my own opinion but…all we have to off is KCs opinion. Nothing more.
You’d be silly if you thought this build was the final. It’s Alpha at this stage, not final.

Though, saying the bloom is less than in Reach is a fact, not an opinion.

It’s only fact until most players (if not all) are firing the thing in our own hands, tested it out, or at the very least, seen gameplay on the final build.
I say this because the final is going to be different from the build KC tested out.
I could have swore I seen that they said there is no bloom in halo 4 maybe they meant recoil? I’ll try to find the link. Never mind just seen the update my bad. I don’t think they will make the same mistake with it this time they are very aware of how much bloom was disliked. But now a question if the DMR has a set fire rate why add in bloom, seems counter productive. I understand that the Reach DMR with ZB has extremely fast kill times, so I agree with a set fire limit but bloom would push a luck factor into it which would hurt somebody even if there shot was well placed.
I personally don’t have a issue with bloom if well designed. But I do understand why it is so looked down on it adds in a luck factor in match making. Easy example you pace your shots and land every one perfect the other guy flat out spams and destroys you it’s about 50/50 which alot of people don’t like. In all other Halo’s you always started on equal ground BR vs BR person A couldn’t shoot faster then person B and luck out, It all came down to was person A a better shot then person B ( which is what halo is ) Like I said I don’t have a issue with bloom annoying at times but I have learned to deal with it. With that said BR doesn’t have bloom and that’s what I am going to use.
But then again maybe that’s the point some people like bloom ( they can use the DMR ) some people hate bloom ( they can use the BR ) 343 has listened and now you get to choose and everybody is happy. That could be a reason.

Another stupid feature. Why? Because experienced and good players will have no problem handling the recoil, while the newbies and bad players who have a terrible aim will most likely get headshots because of the recoil pulling their aim up.

Then strafe, seeing its actually possible in halo 4

I know but at the very least, it’s a controllable factor unlike bloom or H3 BR spread. It’s not like Reach from what we’ve seen; strafes and moon jumps are coming back to throw peoples aim off.
Sometimes i wonder why can’t it be as simple as shooting, no spread, no dice-roll bloom, and leave the rest to skill, aiming, awareness, knowledge etc.
Still, it doesn’t matter if noobies can do that. Remember, skilled players and teams will win anyways. Skill prevails.
