Bloodline Emp Discussion and mancannons?

Judging from the footage of the Hornet being EMP’d, it looks like it lasts about 15-20 secs. Maybe even 10 secs, because the player left his Hornet and returned to flip it and pilot it again. I wonder how long the reset time it for using the EMP again. It appears that the range encompasses just outside the middle of the map. So picture a basket ball court, with the 3 point line being the extent of the emp range. I make this assumption, because the enemy team’s Hornet was near the middle of the map and was not effected by Blue Team’s EMP. What are your thoughts on this Interactive ability (I think it’s pretty cool)?

Also wanted to input on the mancannons. They are forgeable, but this is a default map, and I feel like they are dead giveaways to your position. The only real positive thing about them, is that there is a jump, at the bottom, that can function as a 2nd escape route to launch off with the flag. How do you feel about the teleporter’s replacement?

This is the map that should have been in Halo 3! Not that wannabe Blood Gulch, Valhalla.

I love this new stuff. I remember watching a Halo 3 or Reach vidoc talking about the new stuff they added to the game like man cannons instead of teleporters and other stuff like that. Reminds me of it. This is the first true remake and continuation of Coagulation. I hope one day we get another evolution of the map in Halo 6 or as a Halo 5 map pack thing.

Personally I’ve always liked man cannons more than teleporters, so those are cool with me. The EMP could make for an interesting addition.

Good point with Valhalla, though I think it is a easier to use them there since each area you’re being launched off to has better amount of cover, and blocked sight lines while in the air. Also, I can already see the EMP trolls coming to use them on friendly lol.

The man cannons are fantastic and easily removable in Forge if you don’t like them. Sadly, that route is almost pointless due to the infuriating lack of a custom games browser, but whatever… :frowning: The EMP things are interesting and seem like a “last resort” sort of thing. Unfortunately, I can see them being easily abused by nasty trolls.

I like them. Should def make the games interesting.

Totally agree with your EMP verdict, it was pure abuse using a scorpion or hijacking the enemies tank and circling the base spawn killing. I think it’s genius!

Mancannons, the offensive flag carrier in me says “NO!” but I think it should make for better gameplay all round. I am really impressed 343i with the level of thought gone into these reimagined maps.

Also so the hornet is a much better upgrade than the banshee. Once again, encourages more team work.

The EMP wont stop a good Partied up Team from spawn killing the other team. Seeing how there usually seems to be a teammate controlling the top area of the base (or a suppressing Sniper), they wouldn’t even be able to touch it lol. Then the quitting will start.
