I really liked when halo had blood. When you shoot someone do bloodstains appear? If not could that please be added.
Blood is present in Halo 5, though on a significantly downplayed level. Aside from seeing Covenant blood, human blood is only seen when you’re hitting someone with an Energy Sword. Even then, it’s just a small splat that quickly disappears.
i like the infinite blood from previous games, and the fountains of blood from punching dead bodies in halo 1
I wouldn’t want it at CE levels, but definitely more than halo 5.

I think Halo 4’s levels of blood were decent. Somewhere on that level would be nice.

Agreed.
More blood ups the rating from T to M, and that seems like it was a conscious design choice by 343 to not have it present as much so as to achieve a T rating–I speculate this is due to the stigma that M rated games have and as a way to regain a strong user-base and be more acceptable in the esports arena.

Considering MLG had no problems with the M-rated Halo games, that’s definitely not the reason.
The reason Halo 5 became a T rated game is because Halo was barely an M rated game to begin with. The blood has been decreasing ever since Halo 2, the Flood is no longer around meaning there’s no gore.
Halo 4 would have been a T rated game as well if it wasn’t for the scientist being composed in that cutscene.
I’m not pointing MLG not having a problem with M-rated games, I’m saying that it can be more appealing to have a T-rated game if parents had reservations about their kids being a fan of an M-rated video game.

Which, despite the overall assumption that it doesnt stop anyone, actually sometimes does.
Also, from a lore perspective, MLJLONIR includes a hydrostatic gel layer in between the armor plates and the undersuit that can expand and seal up any holes in the armor. Including those made by a penetrating bullet. Not to mention the internal biofoam system thats the explanation for regenerating health.

So how do you explain the likes of Quake and Doom being played in esports ? I would like to have more blood and gore in Halo games. I would go the whole hog too, dismemberment, decapitation, blood everywhere, but that’s just me. I think there should be more than we have though.

When I used to play C.E and 2 as a kid, i’d be sure to kill the enemies in as close proximity as possible. So i could create “paintings” with them. The best level for this on halo 2, was Outskirts at the start with the turret, outside the “hunter gate” next to the truck. Phantom comes in, drops off enemies, they then run in front of the hunter gate to get to cover. They would all die so close to each other, and the high-view turret made painting so fun. If only I were able to take screenshots on the Xbox 13 years ago…
If that does not make my opinion clear, yes, I certainly want blood back in Halo. Maybe not fountain-painting blood level, but at least at the Halo 2-3 level. Maybe Halo 4, however I did not play that one enough to remember/look at it.

Well considering Parents these days have no problems letting their 10 year old play GTA V (rated R18+ in australia) I am sure a little blood in Halo would not be bad enough to stop them from buying it for them. And we all knows the “stigma” surrounding the GTA franchise.
I would be fine in they upped the blood level. Though not as much as in ce.
I mean as long as it’s not like CE where there is like fountains of blood whenever 1 bullet connects, I’m fine. But I’m also satisfied with what little blood Halo 5 already has, more blood doesn’t necessarily improve my gaming experience.

Lets also not forget toys, toys are probably the main reason for a t rating. Sure we had some before but now we have nerf like guns, new figures, etc. they made it T so that it wouldnt look like they are selling kids toys for an adult game.
I wish the game had more blood and tbh if limbs could even blow id be cool with it. i know its not gonna happen because 343 wants the T rating but i liked
CE having all the fountains of blood
I am fine without it. It doesn’t make the game any better for me. Would more blood bring more players you think? Idk?
marines should swear too
Halo 5 is intended for everyone, kids included so blood can be barely visible at best… It’s rated T after all…
Halo 5 is nice and all, but I miss the dark Halo that was more mature.
