Blitz on mobile?

So I played Blitz mode in HW2 for the first time in several years last week as a result of a Game Pass quest, and rediscovered I really enjoyed it. Of course, I was stomping my opponents because they were newbies without decks and I knew and enjoyed playing.

But it got me wondering why Halo Blitz couldn’t work as a mobile game? In the same way there are several mini-RTS games on mobile, I think Blitz hits a sweet spot. Obviously a full blown game of HW2 doesn’t sound tenable, but Blitz is the right combination of strategic and quick that it could be really fun.

I recognize it isn’t likely to happen, but I hope 343 will give it at least some thought.

That would be pretty awesome. I would totally buy that as a game on mobile. Heck they don’t even need to do that just charge like they do for Castle Crashers or any other game.

It feels like with all the Halo hype, it wouldn’t be that hard to port it over to mobile, but IDK. I’d love it if it could happen.

I have to check but isn’t Halo wars 2 on the cloud so you can play it from your mobile?

I think HW2 didn’t get the love and appreciation it deserved. Looking back I spent and enjoyed the time I had playing HW2, art design was perfect. Each leader was unique and fun to play. Really would like to see this game listed on Steam some day alongside Halo wars. Blitz was the only card based game mode I actually learned how to play effectively. I think it would do great as a sole mobile game. And even better if it was a Play-to-earn NFT game. But I do understand that would require a lot of rebuilding on the Devs side of the house.

It definitely didn’t get the love it deserved. It’s still my favorite game of Xbox One era. Pretty sure I played nothing else for months on end when it came out. I loved the campaign, and the new leader DLC kept me coming back.

I get why they aren’t making HW3 (not enough sales), though. My hope is maybe Halo Infinite sparks more interest in Atriox and his crew so people go back to HW2. Maybe in 10 years we will get HW3 or something if that’s the case.
