Blitz has been revealed

Right nyah. It’s a card-oriented type of thing. Seems cool to me. Thoughts?

Interesting twist on the game that seems to add to the experience.

It’s going to be pay to win

My thoughts?
I’m worried.

First of all I’m worried about the fact that they call it “an arcade” version of the “proper” multiplayer. Which leads me to think of Firefight Arcade from Halo: Reach. While there certainly are distinct differences, people were more drawn to the Arcade version of FF because of its accessibility, speed and how easy it was, pretty much the selling points of Blitz. So my worry is that more players will gravitate towards Blitz and leave the rest of the Multiplayer alone.

Second one is Microtransactions with gameplay items behind an “skip grind for real money” button. While Creative Assembly is a different beast that i343, with the latter we saw quite some focus on making an overabundance of reqs and card. I’m worried a lot of focus will go towards Blitz because it may potentially be a source of “post income” for the company, and where are they going to put their focus if not where the money is leaking in?

More info needed though.

I am pretty sure that micro-transaction will be the base system for Halo Wars 2’s system. I assume it will be very similar to how REQ is.

Absolutely Disgusting

This doesn’t interest me in the least. I’m all about standard match-style RTS games.

I’ll probably avoid this game-type entirely (once I’ve tried it once or twice to be sure that it’s not something I’d like).

EDIT: I’ll admit that it could be fun, but it’s just not the competitive Macro & Micro-heavy gameplay that I’m looking for in Halo Wars

> However, in its current state, Halo Wars 2 limits your selected units’ speed based on the slowest participant. So if you have giant tanks and speedy Warthogs and you’re eager to get to a control point, you’ll have to click through about three or four times until you select only the Warthogs to get them speeding ahead.

This isn’t uncommon… What’s this guy complaining about, really? It’s not even a problem…

Same here dude, same here.

Let’s just hope that it doesn’t have micro transactions involved in it

Most likely will be.

It’s not that I’m against MT’s overall, I do think they have some place when done right. I dislike when gameplay related items are behind real money transactions.

Also as a “bonus”, it “frigthens” me that possible gameplay MTs are asociated / linked to a mode which is very distant to the rest of the game in terms of how it is played, which may appeal to a larger audience and as such cause a lack of focus on the rest of the game. A very simplified game mode.

Probably that units he has aren’t thinking for themselves what they should do.

Should be an option for those who dislike it that makes units break formation and go as fast as they can, some RTS games have that.

I also thought hovering over a specific unit and double taping it would select all units of that type automatically?
