Alright, so I’ve steadily been earning and opening blitz packs from doing challenges, and I have yet to hit max rank on any of my blitz cards. In anticipation of when that happens, I have to know, do you keep getting duplicates of your maxed cards when you open packs? That seems like it would be an additional slap in the face to the consumer in what is already arguably more of a pay-to-win monetization system than in Halo 5. Also, I’d like to know what the max blitz card level actually is, if anyone knows it offhand. Thanks.
There is no max level. But once you reach level 6 cards then you will be fine. There’s a very very miniscule difference from someone with level 6 cards against someone who has like level 14 cards which only like 2 people have

Max card level is 50, after level 6 all cards level stats will only increase by 1%.
So realisticly you can compete with any level from lvl 6 cards onwards?

Yes, and hard counter units at level 0 can still counter regular units at level 6+
However the soft counter triangle becomes alot less effective.

Well I bet a level 50 card would totally destroy level 6 cards, but if you have level 50 cards you have truly deserved to win via paying. The amount of packs you’d need is just silly. There’s something like 80 different cards (not sure, just off the top of my head). Having at least 1 50 will be statistically likely at like average card level 35 or something. That’s ~630 cards per card for that level. 5 cards per pack, 630 per card, 80 cards, you get a rough estimate of needing something like 10,000 packs. ~$40 for 47 blitz packs = ~$8.6 grand for a good chance at a level 50 card.

I believe the highest card level of people that are playing now is around lvl 13. So only a 7% difference on some stats (not even all stats) in the first few months of halo wars 2 I knew a few people with lvl 20 cards but none of them were that good and they stopped playing after a few months so it was a waste of money for them anyway

I agree that the “Blitz is P2W!” crowd is pretty ignorant on the issue, but 7% is a substantial amount when talking about the highest levels of gameplay lol. Imagine if there were a Cutter mirror match in Deathmatch and one Cutter’s Marines were “only” 7% stronger.
Let’s just say everyone has a pretty long way to go and I’m fairly confident that I don’t see it happening within this year or possibly even the next at current trending on levels going up. As well, there are some levels significantly higher already than 13.
I really don’t understand buying them, you can earn so many free per week.
Thanks for the info, I thought that the vet bonus was as devastating per level as other game types, so this is a relief for me, I’ll take up to 7% with the odd chance of higher compared to what i thought it was lol

Yes but the even with 2 equally skilled players one with 7% better units than the other it wouldn’t matter because energy RNG has a far bigger impact on the game.

Can you tell us who has the top levels and what they are?
