Bleed-through in Halo 4

So apparently Halo 4 has bleed-through. . . I had hoped that died in the Reach TU.

I really dislike bleed-through (so do all of my online friends) and I’m really disappointed that it is returning. The shield-pop mechanic in Reach was an improvement on the energy shields, but now 343 is taking us backwards in that regard.

What’s most annoying about bleed-through is the fact that you can have a little bit of energy shielding left, and feel a bit safe, then boom, you’re dead. It’s makes deaths less predictable; I feel that if we have any energy shielding left, then it should do it’s job and protect you from at least one shot.

I also strongly dislike melee bleed-through, as not only is it hard to predict if you shot them enough for the melee to go through, but in close quarters combat it gives a player less time to react to a sneak attack since they just get shot a few times from an AR and then a melee finishes them off.

I really hope 343 reconsiders reintroducing bleed-through, cause in my opinion, it is obsolete.

I deserve to kill somebody if I shoot them and hit them, I shouldn’t have to waste bullets, hit them then hit them again, that isn’t right.

Bleedthrough is a brilliant idea and was only removed from Reach due to the health pack bug.

If I shoot you and melee you, I should do more damage than someone who just melees. It’s simple math.

For me I have mixed feelings about it but I hope they have different playlists that state if they have bleed through or not.

Yes but your sheilds should take it and fail instead of it going through and killing you.

Bleedthrough is freakin’ awesome for Halo…adds to the gameplay if you ask me…
It takes some monitoring and memory of how many bullets to put in some body(any weapon)before you could melee and kill in one hit before their shield pop,and takes just a bit of skill to effectively use. That’s why I like it.

So if I shoot you 3 times, and we melee at the same time, I should be equal to you, right?

If you’re close enough to melee them, then why shoot them unless you have a Shotgun or any weapon designed for close-combat? If you wasted your bullets, then that’s your error.

Did I say bleed-through was invented by the Reach Title Update? No I didn’t, I said I had hoped it DIED in the Reach TU.

BT speeds up the game. Fact/

Kids who hate it are the same ones who challenge when weak.

Bleedthrough nerfs the double melee. That alone makes it better than shield pop.

I’m glad to see bleed through returing because imo it leads to more fluent gameplay, also I didn’t see the logic behind 3 shot+beatdown=beatdown

AH,my bad,thanks for pointing out error…

Just saying its fair given you can die with one shot when your sheilds are gone(since there is no health bar in halo 4 it is unfair to have bleed through) as in reach you can get shot multiple times in the body without your sheilds and survive. so bleed through is unfair.

> BT speeds up the game. Fact/

Faster paced doesn’t equal better gameplay.

That has absolutely nothing to do with bleedthrough.

Bleed-through speeds the game up, makes bad weapons more useful, and most importantly makes close quarters combat fair and interesting.

Please keep this Reach failed experiment no-bleed-through crap out of Halo 4. Thanks.

> Bleedthrough nerfs the double melee. That alone makes it better than shield pop.

Double-melee isn’t even that common. Now the AR Charge of Death, that’s common.

herp-derp doesn’t equal better gameplay.

You’re wrong.

Is it really my fault that an enemy begins to sprint towards me and tries to melee me before I can get his shields down?

Melee is horrible in Reach without bleedthrough.
