I was thinking that if we going to continue with the armor coating system it will be nice if players can purchase a blank armor coating, that allows the player to fill it in with colors they already have from other coatings to create a new armor coating. Maybe even sell some color packs for these blank armor coatings.
Would be nice to have some way to “build” you own coating. This is a good idea that I hope someone at 343 sees and tries to implement.

I feel like they’ve backed themselves into a corner with the way armour coatings and attachments work. They done it so they can add loads more easily but it comes with extra restrictions then.
Would be cool of they added a default Spartan core, one where you can’t change anything but have much more colour options from a palette to pick from. Players that want their customised colours can, and everyone else can enjoy all the bonus armours and cool coatings on folder in BP/store.
I wish coatings were more or less patterns and styles and not color oriented. Then allow us to pick the colors on the ourselves.

Yeah. The way they first described it was similar to that. Like a specific “muddy” coating. Or a “battleworn” coating or a “shiny” coating. And you could increase or decrease the coatings effect on the armor. This would be a much more player friendly system
