I noticed this by accident when I was fighting the Blademaster. Video was a low quality Twitch stream straight from my Xbox but you can clearly see that he becomes invisible after he loses his blade, gets up and disappears!

Unfortunately, Jega was a one and done villain, he was way more hype than anything else. It was a real shame 343 didn’t stretch his encounters throughout the campaign, maybe make you fight Jega a couple of times until you finally beat him… but it’s unsurprising, 343 aren’t very good with character building or writing in general, they kind of just drop pieces on the board and expect you to understand those pieces instantly, which was catastrophic for Locke and Team Osiris and now Jega and most of the Banished boys.

Could Jega return in DLC? Sure, but there really isn’t any hint or clear indication of that in Infinite. I hope he does come back though, because I think the little bit we did see of him was very interesting.

Jega suffers from 343 new character syndrome where he had a 70% chance of death within the first piece of media he was featured in. And he fell alongside Griffin’s team, the main bad guy, and the female main bad guy (I forget their names).
