Black Screening in Multiplayer

Hello, my cousin is experience black screen loops in multiplayer. When we play he consistently runs in to a black screen that pulls the Scoreboard up as if it’s switching host. Everyone else in the game plays the game fine as this happens to him and he just runs in to a wall. Once his black screen is done he is either dead, or in a totally different spot. He gets a few seconds of smooth play after that only for it to repeat again, and again, until the match is over. If anyone has any details or further information on this topic I would greatly appreciate it.

yes. this is exactly what happens in at least half of my matches, probably more. Its frustrating. everyone else seems fine. then i die in blackscreen … and repeat over and over.

This is what is happening to me as well. Don’t get your hopes up. This was never mentioned in the patch notes and not many people seem to be having this problem.

Hopefully this gets noticed because this is literally a game changing experience. It has to be some sort of network issue but every other game he plays it works fine. While it’s happening to him our party chat stays clear and fine and he doesn’t disconnect. We also check if there were a series of dropped packets and nothing points directly to ISP issues.

I have been dealing with this since the 15th. I have spoken to support and they really cant seem to think of anything other than something with the game. My NAT is always open and I have absolutely no issues in other games such as COD AW. It only happens when playing MCC.

Are you port forwarding or X1 in DMZ?

It has to be some sort of Network issue but my cousin and I can’t seem to figure out exactly what it is. Yes, he only get’s this issue in MCC just like you but there has to be something that is messing up between the game and the connection. It could possibly be some sort of Modem/Router setting that only gives issues with MCC.

It could be but I have seriously tried everything I can think of at this point. Hardwiring to the modem supersedes all possibilities of it being anything with the router settings. Even hard wired I still have the same exact issue.

Just out of curiosity where are you located? I’m in New York and it could have something to do with the east coast.

Funny enough I just made a post about this as well… This is one of the most frustrating experiences I have had in an online game. Just out of curiosity, what ISP is everyone using here? I am on Time Warner Cable.

Cablevision (Optimum Online). I spoke with them and they assured me it had nothing to do with anything on their end. I too have very good internet speeds and no issues anywhere else. It’s the game that is broken.

He is from Southern New Jersey so that could leave that possibility open. I highly doubt it’s ISP though because we have the same providers and I have never experienced that issue.

He has Comcast.

Ok, just thought I would ask in case it might be something between ISP and 343 but good to know that it isn’t that. Hopefully this can be resolved relatively soon.

Sadly I haven’t seen any official response or even acknowledgement of this situation.

Same, it seems like it is only happening to a select handful which really hurts us in getting it noticed. Hopefully 343 knows about this and has added it to the list of things to fix. Game is unplayable for me with this. It seems to be happening on a more consistent basis now. I wouldn’t even mind all the other broken things in the game if I could just play lag free.

As awful as this situation is I’m glad it’s at least getting some replies. This is obviously a problem hurting more than one person so hopefully this get’s some recognition soon. I’m not sure if anyone of importance checks these forums though.

This problem is RUINING the game for me…has anyone had any luck with any remedies for the situation??
