Black Screen of what?

So this has happened a number of times and I’ve been dying to know what causes it. There have been several times where a matchmaking game starts up and either of these scenarios occur:

  1. Game starts, but suddenly screen goes black with no drop outs. Once game resumes, I have no armor ability and everyone walking around looks like their armor abilities are sticking out their backs. Until I die, I have no Armor Ability whatsoever.

  2. Unable to Load from vote screen. Player(s) vote every line 1,2,3,4 repeatedly. Match gets chosen, but message pops up Unable to Load.

  3. In Grifball especially: Game starts up, suddenly screen goes black. Nothing happens. Finally game comes back and BOOM, bomb is blown up in our base. HOW?

I appreciate any input anyone can offer.

  1. Game chose a poor host whose connection started to seizure under the pressure.
  2. People moving the maps onto a flash drive and pulling said flash drive when desired gametype/map isn’t chosen. Or scratched disc.
  3. Cheaters.
