Some games I get knocked into a black screen every 15-20 secs and then I’m dead. Sometimes it just happens to me and sometimes it happens to someone else in the party. Does this happen to anyone else? This is the most annoying thing ever
Dude this is happening to me every other game. I don’t know what to do. I’ve tried everything: reinstalling, deleting save data, hard reset, moving to external HDD!! NOTHING works!!!
Since this new patch I am having constant freezing. It happens on the main menu screen and in the searching screen. About to give up
Our problem has to do with freezing/going to black screen with scoreboard DURING multiplayer matches. And it happens incessantly once it starts
i heard someone say its is on digital copies only…this true for u guys?
i played a bunch of games and it was great with my physical copy

Shouldn’t make a different. It’s the same information installed on our systems. Your disc just serves as a key to launch the software.
But I have a digital copy, and I haven’t had this problem yet.
Hm so its not only people with digital copies…what could it be then?? It’s sticking with me no matter what I do. I reinstalled, plugged directly into modem, and moved everything to external WD 2tb hard drive, even deleted all the save data…don’t know what else it could be …I have a white xbox lol
I had this issue early on, but have not experienced it in weeks.
I am just installing the new update now, and am waiting for it to be 100% before I even try playing anything.
I have a physical copy as well as some of the other people it is happening to. When it first happened to me I thought I was getting stand-byed. Turned out it was only happening to me. It makes the match unplayable and I am force to quit or stare at a black screen. It is really annoying.
Yesterday this happened to me often. I have the physical copy and well above average internet. This game is broken.
I’ve had this happen on and off since the launch of the game. Sometimes it happens at too convenient of times, and too convenient of an outcome after the fact, to be nothing other than standby, (in objective games.)
In other instances when this happens I think it’s just plain P2P host lag.

that does make a difference btw.
for instance, my copy of halo reach, when on disc was flawless for the most part but when i got the digital copy and gave my brother my disc the digital copy had quite a few bugs that i NEVER encountered on disc. and i mean i could set my watch to these glitches as they happened every time i played it.
-
unplug your kinect. no, don’t argue with me just do it
-
turn on power saving in the settings menu
-
plug your Xb1 directly into a wall socket and dont use any power strips or extension cords. Best to not share that socket with much other stuff too.
this will drastically minimize your freezes and graphical glitches
p.s. the engineers for this game’s UI and for Xb1’s UI should all be fired. I hear there’s lots of bootleg chinese shadow companies who need -Yoink- engineers to design their fake operating systems
Also, you should call MS, be polite, get your refund for the digital copy and get a disc version ASAP.
CALL them, do not be a puss and try the live chat, they will NOT help you. I am right

how would this have anything to do with anything?

It has a built-in “surge strip”. Stacking it with anything other than straight into a socket loses between 4-6 volts, sometimes more in bad wiring situations. This causes the GPU to fluctuate inconsistently causing itself unexpected behavior. Windows 8 kernel is the core underlying operating system. Windows loses its mind over a light breeze on its cheek in terms of anything not doing 100% what it was expected to.
I was told this directly from two senior engineers at MS, independently from each other. I asked why the hell it made a difference myself, believe me. Once he said the bit about voltage it all made sense. GPU’s with under-voltage will underclock and do weird crap. Couple that with already unstable game code running on a garbage unstable operating system with all kinds of dynamic RAM usage from “everything is a mothafudging app” and you’ve got yourself a heck of a lot more freezes and bugs.
