I’m a JIP player in a FireFight match and my screen is solid black, can control my spartan and can hear my jumping and fire but can’t see, can’t even see the pause screen…yaaaay, how’s everyone else’s day?
When this happens, hit the home button on your controller. Your screen will restore itself so you can see everything else.

I already tried that a few times… 
That sucks. Now it’ll be a DNF on your service record if you quit out.

Game just ended, I died one time and the screen didn’t return to normal until it showed the spartans in the pelican…But my team won so free exp and req points I guess? Lol
I’ve had this issue in other games as well. I wonder if it’s an issue with the console, or maybe it’s just a coincidence?

I’ve had this happen in Battlefield 1, Halo 5, and Gears of War 4, which is why I am wondering if it has something to do with the console. Maybe it’s a common glitch with modern games.

This exact thing happened to me one time. It was weird, I thought the game was loading, but no, it did. The TV decided to fall asleep. After, I restarted the game, then I could see the game.
This happened to me twice.
This happens if you use the voices of war announcers. I know it may sound stupid but it’s true, I used to always get it before i changed back to palmer now i haven’t gotten it in over 1000 games
Only has happened to me on BF1. Have to restart the console.

It was the default UNSC voice, I didn’t have the VOW at that time.

Really? That’s pretty strange, my friends and I only got it with the different announcers

It’s happened to me on BF1 and halo 5 a few times. It’s super annoying. So there isn’t a fix for this then? Is 343i even aware of this?
