yesterday I installed HW2 on my Windows 10 PC. Everything worked fine at first sight, I could play the tutorial without any problems. Then, at the start of the campaign I watched the introductory scenes full of anticipation. But in the moment when it comes to the transition from video to game (the last words were “Spartans don’t fail. They never do…”) the screen remains dark and I only hear the background music. I can still move the mouse pointer, but that’s it. Are there any other people who have noticed this mistake?
Yes same issue.
I jumped into a coop game without issue but after the first cinematic for the campaign the screen stays dark. Can still hear sound and mouse cursor is in view. Nothing else works or happens though.
Ok I have a little more info now.
Still having the issue. If I start in windowed mode I can see the screen before the actual gameplay starts. It’s just very very dark.
With full screen it’s totally black.
Tried reinstalling 3x, clean boot, different video settings, updating drivers and nothing fixes it.
Not much info online about this particular issue either.

and another problem is the cinematic has no subtitie but in theatre mode it has
the tutorial is fine
i got it,the black screen issue is caused by the win 10 hdr problem,shut the win10 hdr setting would fixed that,and the subtitle showed too
Looks like turning HDR off in the windows settings works.
I guess either the game needs updated or windows needs to fix something.
