Bit of a problem

I’m not sure if this is the right place to post this as it’s my first time using these forums but if it’s the wrong place feel free to move it to the correct section.

So I bought Halo 4’s Limited Edition and it was to my understanding that doing so you would get all the future map packs for free. I redeemed to code to get all the specializations available early and it’s the same code used for the map pack according to what it says on the download paper. Yet when I go to download the crimson map pack I’m still forced to spend 800 points. Has anybody else had this problem or am I missing something here?

Did you go to the xbox live dashboard store to get the pack?

Or did load up halo 4 and access the dlc that way?

I had to access the content through halo 4 to get it for free with my pass basically.
