So, at the very end of the game, when you confront the Didact. was anyone else expecting a ‘final boss’ battle, so to speak? i was kindof dissapointed with how it was more of an interactive cutscene than an actual battle…
Dont get me wrong, the ending was great, the i was hoping for the final battle to be with the Didact, not the prometheans gaurding him.
Yea I’m disappointed with that as well but what really got me was the final ending with cortana
What really gets me, after the credits there is another scene and he gets his armor removed, but no face, its like Master chief don’t have one…I know its for suspense, but seriouslu, how many people would like to see his face, I know a ton who would.

You do see his eyes. They are wait til halo 6 to show his whole face for a final end probably
I don’t know if it’s just the legendary ending but my ending after the credits did show a shot of about half is face, centred around the eyes. And I really would not like to see the Chief’s face. At least not until the end of 6.

Because the didact isn’t dead. At the end you hear him talking. so if there is going to be a final boss battle it will be probably in halo 6. Halo has been known to avoid boss battles. the only time there was any boss battles was Halo 2
Halo isn’t built for boss battles that would make interesting fights, it isn’t a raid boss which requires on the spot tactics and weapon switches to kill. The closest to that is how we killed 343 guilty spark back in halo 3. I quite enjoyed killing him how Cheif did.

To be honest, I thought of the final area where you needed to insert cortana 3 times to be enough.
It would have been better, IMO, if the didact randomly EMPed you or something to increase the difficulty there. Or shoot a sentinel beam or something…
