Yes the binary rifle is a 1 shot kill. BUT it works like the spartan laser where each shot is made up of many.

Can the binary rifle kill faster with headshots? i.e X - Y shots?
Not sure. Are you trying to get head shots with a binary rifle for some reason?
binary rifle works best if you start at the chest and finish in the head, 1 shot kill

I don’t know if its like the Splaser or not, it would make sense from a technical POV, its easier to do than one continuous laser maybe. But no, the Binary Rifle cannot headshot people, the beam damages over its duration so the recoil would raise the beam above the head so the target would escape.
That’s a good question. I’m not too sure. All I know is that the beam from a single binary shot must hit a full health enemy spartan to get the kill.
I’ve nailed a person without shields with one and I didn’t get a headshot metal, so I don’t think so.

It definitely takes some getting used to, but once you understand how it works you can really tear through people. Play some BTB on Antifreeze and you’ll get the hang of it.
It has a large recoil when firing, so body to head is most effective. When you aim straight for the head its gonna go way up and you pretty much shoot air. Not sure if this helps.
To find out about the X shot thing, i’m not sure by myself how it works, if you wanna know just shoot at a wall and throw your aim in any direction
I believe you can’t get Headshots with the binary, at least I never got a headshot kill myself

They shouldn’t have changed the binary rifle in the first place. it was fine how it was. No it does not get headshots.

I generally just aim for body shots and it works just as quick. You really don’t need to aim at the head at all.
The weapon telegraphs your location and that you are using it. Not good characteristics for a field battle weapon.

Well, then I’m sorry to say it but you’re terrible at using it. It’s incredibly powerful. It’s more or less a guaranteed one-shot kill if you get 75%+ of a shot on the enemy’s torso.
Half the enemy team running around with them would be a nightmare.
Like someone said before. Aim for the chest and finish at the head for a one shot one kill.
